[Dx4win] HELP

2004-01-25 Thread Dick White
I have been following a thread on the RTTY reflector about ZD9 calls. When I
checked my reports file I found this problem:

ZD9SXW - worked 4 times in 1993

Bands worked = 18 - 28 - 7 - 24 MHz

When I got to reports - DXCC - all and zoom down to ZD9, I find
this -

It has my 7 MHz and 24 Mhz bands as confirmed with a C.

It does not show that I have worked the 18 and 28 MHz bands, yet, I
have them in the log. All 4 QSO's were entered the same.

What happened and how do I get the report to show the W as worked for
these two bands ? ( for some dumb reason, I did not qsl there two bands
like I did the other two).

[Dx4win] WANTED: QSL manager data for DX4WIN.CTY

2004-01-25 Thread Jim Reisert AD1C
Response has been disappointing. The merge/analyze program is already
written, it's just waiting for more input.

If it's easier for you to send your DX4WIN.CTY file, I'll take that instead.

Hi Folks,

Well, now that the country database is settling down, it's time to work on
the QSL manager database.

The current database has 6128 manager records. I'm sure we can do better!

I'm interested in your QSL manager database, but I prefer smaller,
hand-maintained ones rather than massive 100K entry databases achieved by
merging in every available database on the Internet. The latter approach
is sure to contain lots of errors. I think DX4WIN should have a
relatively small but mostly correct database, maybe on the order of 10,000
- 15,000 manager records or so.

In order to extract the data that I need, go to the main DX4WIN menu, File
- Databases - QSL managers. Now in the new window, go to File - Export
QSL Manager Data. For a file name, use your own callsign, i.e.
KK4HD.TXT. Then click on the SAVE button, and send me that text file as
an attachment.

I need to write a program to intelligently merge the data, so this may
take a week or two to get right.

Thanks 73 - Jim AD1C
