[Dx4win] the dx-spot is constant updating in the qso window
Sounds like you have selected QSO, Add Real Time in the QSO window. Don't select anything and I think you won't have a problem. [Dx4win] DX4Win and Kachina - possible?
Does anyone have any experience with controlling a Kachina with DX4Win? Can it be done? Larry Alkoff N2LA Larry Alkoff N2LA - Austin TX
[Dx4win] DX4Win and Kachina - possible?
Sure! You must run the Kachina control program AND the dx4win... and so you can synch radio direct to the dx spot frequency. Remeber to give dx4win's radio preferences the rigth name of the file used from the kachina software and to set property kachina software to be used from third party programs. that's all. - Original Message - From: Larry Alkoff [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: dx4win dx4win@mailman.qth.net Sent: Saturday, July 24, 2004 9:18 PM Subject: [Dx4win] DX4Win and Kachina - possible? [Dx4win] DX4Win and Kachina - possible?

I actually had DX4win and Kachina working 4-5 years ago but forgot. When I went to the Radio database I saw Kachina still in there but a different directory. I can see \path\kachina\kc505_01.dat and it is being updated but DX4win doesn't seem to be seeing it. Remeber to give dx4win's radio preferences the rigth name of the file used from the kachina software DX4win is set to File | Databases | Radios | Kachina and File Interface to c:\pf\ham\Kachina\kc505_01.dat. File | Preferences | Radio | KC505DSP and com port is set to 1. I don't understand why the com port is set to 1 as Kachina should do it's interfacing with kc505_01.dat. DX4Win is not using any com ports at the moment - until I get basic control. and to set property kachina software to be used from third party programs. I have set the Kachina control program for Special | Station Settings | Interface to Other Logbooks | ON Each time I try it the Kachina pops a message saying: KC505 Com1 Cannot control radio that's all. - Original Message - From: Larry Alkoff [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: dx4win dx4win@mailman.qth.net Sent: Saturday, July 24, 2004 9:18 PM Subject: [Dx4win] DX4Win and Kachina - possible? [Dx4win] New Member - Questions
I am new to the list. I have been using DXBase for DOS since the inception. I never upgraded to a Windows version of DXBase because I found it unfriendly and tedious. I am basically interested in logging DX and being able to view my DXCC statitistics, print labels for QSL cards. It would be nice to track grids too but that isn't a deal breaker. Comments would be appreciated. Also, is there a way to import DXBase for DOS into this program?? Steve, N4JQQ Thanks for your patience...
