[Dx4win] Printing Directly to QSL Cards
Hi, Can you please forward to the list any answer to this question. I'm interested to print directly on the card also. de 9k2hn Hamad Original Message Subject: [Dx4win] Printing Directly to QSL Cards From: Walt Kornienko [EMAIL PROTECTED] Date: Wed, March 28, 2007 2:29 pm To: dx4win@mailman.qth.net Hey all, Is there a way to suppress the printing of the default header (QSO with, Date, Time, Mode, etc.) so that I can directly print to my cards which ALREADY have a header printed on them? [Dx4win] Printing Directly to qsl cards
Dear Hamad this is my configuration Custom1 Units=3Dmm Label width=3D80 Label Height=3D30 Horz pitch=3D0 Vert Pitch=3D0 Spacing Left=3D20 Spacing top=3D168 Horz shift=3D0 Vert shift=3D0 Nr across=3D1 Nr down=3D1 Paper size=3DCUSTOM=20 then opens a window where i write Page width=3D140 Page height=3D90 Max qsos=3D0 Portrait unchecked Callsign font and body font what you want. Have in mind that double click on font = names changes font to what you want. Becareful that when you go to print you have setup your printer for a = page dimension. My setup works when my printer have chosen A4 page. i = put the cards with the narrow side in the printer (it is a HP 5150 by = the way and it has print over of 1 cards - 6000 cards for sx6a qsos = in a row - without a problem. Not bad for a 70$ printer value) I suggest initially to print in a A4 page and try to print where tha = card is supposed to be. After that put the paper in front of the card = and you go even close to final. Then try a real card. 73 Kostas SV1DPI PS I wish we could print the callsign, report, band, etc in different = columns than default, so i could fit these in my old card with the = boxes. I have leave a blank place in my card to print qsos with dx4win.
[Dx4win] MY_MULTIPLE_QSO_OPERATION_FIXED_BUT?
I resolved my multiple QSO set upload date by upgrading to version 7.02 but! Now my Orion 2 stays in transmit when I start the radio??? I have to stop the radio to get the Orion2 to stop transmitting. I lost my packet cluster spot clicks that would change the Orion2's frequency and the like, and the SteppIR control.. I've checked all the preferences 100 times and am out of ideas. It worked fine in 7.01 and now when I run 7.01 the same thing happens??? I never migrated any file from 7.02 to my 7.01 file so I don't think I could have screwed up the 7.01 files. Al else, packet and rotor control, seem to be working fine. Can anyone assist me? Thanks. Some samples i got would not take inkjet ink so well. So I got the local Staples store ( an office products supply store) to cut 81/2 X11 nice card stock into 3.5 x 5.5 cards... the card stock this morning was on sale ..125 sheets for 4.12, which cut into 500 cards.. they charged 6$ for the 3 cuts. So far about $10..for 500 cards... Then I use my hp laser to print most all the card except the call sign and the info. ( no additional costs) I use my epson inkjet to print my callsign in COLOR blue and then red (not to empty one color completely and prematurely killing the ink cartridge.) My card stock is grey and either color looks good. If I wish I can also print a contest note on the batchsame time as callsign. Then I run them as needed just printing the qsl info... I have been successful using generic ink cartridges from LD products for about 7-8 $ each... so I don't even worry. I printed 200 cards with blue qsl data yesterday , and the cartridge is still ok, I do use kostas's idea about printing on paper till you get in the zone, then fine tune. bill ny9h
