Re: [Dx4win] DX4win and a DigiKeyer info.???
Hi Mel Wow that was easy. I found control was using com 4 in the virtual setup so i told dx4win to use this too and bingo it works also what i wasnt doing was running urouter all the time like i should have been Thanks Again 73 David VK3EW At 11:29 PM 30/06/2009, you wrote: Microham supplies a configuration program uRouter. In the Port Configuration you must set up a virtual COM port for Radio Control. Use that COM port in DX4Win. Works perfectly. You should leave the Digi Keyer connected at alltimes. There is no need to use a serial port as all communications are now via the USB port. Mel, VE2DC David J. McAulay wrote: Hi DX4-Winners.! Wonder if some one can share their setup with me please. I've had DX4win working well for a number of years with my FT1000mp just connected to the serial port of the PC on com port 1 I have a Microham digi-keyer and it works real well too by its self... in other words when i using the digi keyer i un-plug the cat cable from my serial port on the pc to the 1000mp and now plug the cat cable THAT CAME WITH MY DIGI KEYER in from the digi keyer to the rear of the MP The digi keyer is using the a usb port running as com 5 and the digi keyer now works well But heres the question now by doing this i have lost the ability to click on a cluster spot and get the radio to qsy DX4win doesnt follow the radio any more Im sure there must be someone that has the same setup Can you be of help please.?? [Dx4win] DX4WIN Support For The Ten Tec Argonaut V Tranceiver
I have two Ten Tec transceivers, an Omni VI Plus and a Argonaut V (Model 516). I am using DX4WIN version 7.07.02 on two computers, one a desktop running Vista Home Premium the other a laptop also running Vista Home Premium. I am using a Keyspan USB Serial Adapter, set for COM Port 4, with both computers to communicate with the transceivers, since neither computer has a serial port. In the DX4WIN Preferences screen, under the Radio button, I have selected Ten Tec which shows in Notes for radio Paragon II Omni VI 2.22+ compatibility. I selected a Baud Rate of 1200, which I also set in the Omni VI Plus. Using this configuration, DX4WIN works correctly for the Omni VI Plus using both computers, however I cannot communicate with the Argonaut V with either computer. Is there another radio under the DX4WIN Preferences screen that will me allow me to communicate with the Argonaut V or is there something I am missing in the setup? Ironically, I am feeding the output from the Argonaut V AUX 1 jack into the sound card of my laptop and decoding PSK31 signals from the Argonaut V using DX4WIN.
