[Dx4win] cw keying with dx4win 8.01
Been too busy with work to try and work a little cw until now but noticed the problem right away when trying to key the radio and seeing the letters run together. I am using a simple interface using the computer parallel port to key for cw. Worked great until this version. Hope there is a fix. You probably have the waterfall display configured incorrectly... dx4win is not more or less sensitive than other programs... check in PSK31 settings under display what you have set baseline to. It is probably set too high. This parameter sets the black level of the waterfall. Yup. That was it, My baseline was set to 30 for some reason. I cranked it down to 10 and now the display looks like I expected and the levels match those required for MMTTY. I'm not much of a digital guy, so thanks for setting me straight. 73... Paul has tracked this down. It was a new bug created when he fixed something else... it happens ;-) I'm pretty sure it will be OK in 8.02.
