[Dx4win] Version 8.02 and Windows 7

2009-11-12 Thread Lou Dietrich
All,

Anyone else having 'lock-up' issues with Windows 7?at times, I find that
DX4WIN becomes unresponsive and will not close until I remove it via Task
Manager...

All other programs are functioning properly on this machine...it is a dual
core Dell with 9 gigs of RAM, so I am quite sure it isn't the machine

Any info?

No problems here, but I'm only using Win 7 in the home office, with no
radio hardware connected.

Win7 Pro 64-bit.

[Dx4win] WPX QSL's Oldest Confirmed

2009-11-12 Thread Bud Governale, W3LL
DX4WIN V 8.02 is consistently choosing the oldest QSL to confirm in a listing.

I opened Reports WPX Listing. I want to QSL all the Digital W's (Worked)
that I could find.

Here's an example. I click on a W in the WPX Listing.
The entry window shows the QSO.
I flag it for QSL direct.
I happen to have the Same Call window open and notice that I have 32 RTTY Q's
with this call.
DX4WIN selected the oldest one. It was from 2002. It should have selected the
latest one from 2009.
Traditionally DX4WIN selects the latest confirmed QSL.

What do I have set up incorrectly?

Hi Bud,

When creating a submission, DX4WIN selects the most recent eligible
confirmed QSO.

When do you what you are doing, you are creating a filter. A filter
in DX4WIN always finds the oldest matching QSO.

Maybe you got the two confused

Re: [Dx4win] WPX QSL's Oldest Confirmed

2009-11-12 Thread Bud Governale, W3LL
Hi Jim,

Thanks for getting back to me.

I wasn't trying to create a submission.
I was trying to catch up on my QSLing of Digital QSO's that count for the new
Digital WPX award.

This is how I've done it in the past for DXCC Countries, the Challenge,
Counties, etc. that count for the award but not
QSL'd.

I'm not yet ready for a submission. I need to QSL them first.

What do I need to do differently in V8.02 to accomplish this objective of
QSLing the latest and not the oldest contacts?

[Dx4win] How to convert Notes for the callsign into name and QTH

2009-11-12 Thread Isidro Acosta Hernández
Hello friends.

I have just upgraded to version 8.02 and would like to convert the Notes
for this callsign into Name and QTH. I used to put that data as

name. qth. (plus some optional comments).

Is there a batch process to do?

Thanks beforehand for any reply...

Re: [Dx4win] WPX QSL's Oldest Confirmed

2009-11-12 Thread Jim Reisert AD1C
As far as I know Bud, when you create a filter by double-clicking on an
entry in a report, DX4WIN always goes to the earliest QSO (just as if
you had created the filter using F8). I believe it worked the same way
in Version 7. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Submissions are the ONLY
thing I know that picked the most recent QSO.

If you want to go to the latest QSO, after you have double-clicked in
the report, use Control-End in the QSO window to go from the oldest
(control-Home) to newest (control-End).
