I have only lost one weeks work But I suspect there is a way back Dave |GM3WIL __ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Dx4win@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
Re: [Dx4win] deleted my log file!!
Don't open agn the same file (ex gm3wil). This will overwrite the backup file. Try find a file in your save directory, like gm3wil.~xl Rename it to gm3wil.dxl Voila 73 Kostas sv1dpi - Original Message - From: Dave davecos...@btinternet.com To: dx4win@mailman.qth.net Sent: Sunday, November 21, 2010 7:22 PM Subject: [Dx4win] deleted my log file!! [Dx4win] problem adding PJ4 to country file - DX4WIN v5.03 - problem solved
Figured it out, my 30 day worked cut-off date was the culprit. Sorry for wasting the bandwidth. 73, Scott Original Message Subject: problem adding PJ4 to country file - DX4WIN v5.03 Date: Sun, 21 Nov 2010 16:49:26 + From: Scott Ginsburg k...@comcast.net Reply-To: k...@k1oa.com To: dx4win@mailman.qth.net I'm having trouble getting my PJ4 QSO on 10/10/10 to show up in the DXCC listing report and bandmap window. The QSO window shows Bonaire OK however. Here's what I did: 1. deleted the Netherlands Antilles and Saba, etc and created new deleted entities PJ2/D and PJ7/D with end dates 10/09/2010, including mapping entries 2. added PJ2 Curacao and PJ4 Bonaire with start dates 10/10/2010, including the PJ2 and PJ4 mapping entries If I add a new QSO using today's date for PJ4 the listing is updated OK. If I add a new QSO for any date up and including 10/21/10 the listing is not updated, but a new QSO added with date 10/22/10 or later shows up in the listing. It's as if there is a conflicting mapping entry. If I use the latest .cty file available for download, my 10/10/10 QSO shows up OK in the listing window. Any ideas? tnx and 73, Scott, K1OA __ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Dx4win@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

[Dx4win] Where does the license file go??
Had to reload DX4WIN after some computer trouble. I have the license file, but I still can’t make it work. I loaded it into the file C:\DX4WIN for DX4W 8.04, which I downloaded from the website. Still haven’t been able to get it to run. Did I misread something (several times) or is there something else I don’t understand. Thanks, in advance, 73, Karl, K1KO __ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Dx4win@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

The licence file, callsign_lic.dx4w8, goes in the same directory as dx4win.exe. 73, -Rick -- Rick Murphy, CISSP-ISSAP, K1MU/4, Annandale VA USA __ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Dx4win@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
