[Dx4win] HELP needed

2011-03-10 Thread Ken Chandler
Hi guys

I definitely think I Need a few pointers please!.

1.I need to set up a log for another callsign, in my case my contest
call M3i in DX4win, how is this done, , are the records it generates
separate from my main log!!!

2.How do I configure and view my country band count from 1st January
2011.

3. I thought with the added LoTW upload feature it would be simple to do
so, afraid not,

I cannot seem to get the log uploaded. A few pointers from start to upload
would be great!!

If this is taking up bandwidth then perhaps someone with the answers could
email off line!

Thanks

73's

Ken..G0ORH

Dear Bill,

I think that it is BV7.8 - not DX4WIN!

I Notice that a lot of QSL managers use DX4win to print labels for outgoing
QSLs--I do for PJ6A. Many of their labels are formatted as follows:

XV2A confirms QSO [s] with N4NX

I haven't seen or read how you modify the Call Sign top line to look like
that. Can anyone help?

Thanks

[Dx4win] What causes illogical confirmations in normal methods and LoTW?

2011-03-10 Thread Dave Weiss
Hello Group:

I am seeing QSO's get confirmed in both normal (Method) and LoTW where I
have not marked them confirmed. I know of one other user who is
experiencing the same issue. Is there some preference setting that we can
change to eliminate this problem?

We are certain that we are not marking these QSO's confirmed. The effect of
this is to mark the QSO's confirmed where they are proven not to be and that
obviously fouls our respective databases.

Any thoughts to correct this issue would be appreciated.

[Dx4win] Problem

2011-03-10 Thread Dick White
My club recently had a special event operation, W0C. It was logged on
another computer using the N3FJP logger ACLog 3.0. The file reads
AclADIF.adi. I do have the AClog 3.0 on my hard drive, but never use it.
The log was sent to me in ADIF format. I have tried to import it to my
DX4WIN log with no success. Of the 538 Q's I get just 214 of them in a new
file that I created. Yes, I have one dummy call in the new log. No matter
how I try to import the log it will not put all 538 calls in the log.

Anyone have any experience with this combination that can help me ?

I don't think QSOs can spontaneously confirm themselves. And if they
did, and you moved away from the QSO, DX4WIN should prompt to save the
changes.

What version DX4WIN?

Are you hitting the F2 key accidentally? Read the help about F2.

[Dx4win] Master Lookup - not simultaneous

2011-03-10 Thread N0KQ
I just upgraded to ver 8.05 and discovered the Master Lookup window doesn't
function in real time as I enter a call in the QSO window. The Master data is
there if I click on the Master Lookup window but doesn't show the calls as I
enter a call in the QSO window. Is there a way to show the master calls in
real time as a new call is entered in the QSO window?

Thanks,
Bill, N0KQ

PS: Is there a way to transfer preferences from 8.04 to 8.05. This upgrade
has been surprisingly complex.

File | Preferences

Check the box next to Callsign Update in the Options section.

If it worked in the previous version and doesn't work since upgrading
to 8.05, it sounds like you did not merge your preferences from the
old version to the new one. Go to http://dx4win.ad1c.us/ and find the
Application Note about upgrading.
