[Dx4win] Strange happening
Hi all A friend of mine is using another logging program. He sent me his adif exporyt file, which I imported into a DX4Win logfile. Very strange happening is every single call that has a zero in it gives an import error message, and even if I over-copy the callsign, the change is not accepted. The entities are ioften wrong because of that. Any idea why, and how to solve this ? 73 Paul F6EXV -- Please visit http://www.f6exv.org and http://www.pj7-2011.org __ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Dx4win@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
[Dx4win] Weird behavior on frequency logging
Using Flex 3000 SDR radio, DX4WIN 8.03 I noticed that some of the QSO's in my log have the correct band but the wrong band in the recorded frequency. For example, I had a QSO yesterday with UN9GD on 20 meter CW. The band was correctly recorded as 20 meters, but the frequency in the DX4WIN log shows 18070.20. Could this be due to the fact that DX4WIN is polling the Flex radio and is reading both VFO's (even though the second one was inactive at the time?) If yes, how do I prevent this behavior so that only the receiving frequency is recorded (the frequency of the DX station). Re: [Dx4win] Strange happening
Hi Paul, Are you sure they are Zeros and not Oh's? Edit one by rewriting the call and see if it imports correctly. 73, Bob K2TK. [Dx4win] Re-loaded version 8.05 now packet window spot time not correct
I had to re-load DX4WIN version 8.05 yesterday due to a HD failure and now I cannot get the packet spots received to indicate the arrival instead of the actual time. I right clicked on the packet window and highlighted SORT and chose arrival as I always did and the spots indicate the actual time in hours, minutes. In the past when I chose ARRIVAL it would indicate the aged minutes the spot was received. I still have 8.04 on the computer and tried it and it acts fine in this regard. How do I get this function back? Thanks. George, The setting is in File | Preferences | Packet2. Check the box for Show age of spots. This makes the spots show up with the number of minutes since it was posted, not the time. 73, Craig, K0CF Date: Mon, 21 Mar 2011 07:30:22 -0400 From: george goofy...@rochester.rr.com Subject: [Dx4win] Re-loaded version 8.05 now packet window spot time not correct To: dx4win@mailman.qth.net Message-ID: 009701cbe7bb$5d8c0870$18a41950$@rr.com Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii I had to re-load DX4WIN version 8.05 yesterday due to a HD failure and now I cannot get the packet spots received to indicate the arrival instead of the actual time. Re: [Dx4win] Strange happening
It might be the other logging program was using an extended character to display a slashed zero. If that's the case, go to the adif file with an editor and replace all the pseudo-zeroes with real zeros.
