Re: [Dx4win] Diamond DXCC

2012-01-30 Thread Jim Reisert AD1C
Is there anything “out there” or “coming” that will get the information out
of DX4WIN that is needed for Diamond DXCC?

Hi Mike,

I plan to do something similar to what I did for the CQ DX Marathon
(convert, paste into spreadsheet). I just haven't had any time.
Maybe by mid-February. I might do a DX4WIN-specific version too
(custom award).

With the former, you will still have to edit by hand because some of
the current DXCC entities are in distinct parts on the old list, and
DX4WIN won't have any idea how to split them. With the custom award,
hand edits should not be necessary.

Neither will help with DX cluster spot filtering, however.

- Jim

[Dx4win] 8.10 wish-list - user-defined LPT port codes for antenna control

2012-01-30 Thread Pete Smith N4ZR
I use DX4WIN 8.05 and N1MM Logger. My automatic antenna switching
arrangement takes advantage of N1MM's user-defined antenna BCD table to
give me a very flexible auto antenna switching scheme without having to
fiddle with wire OR connections and the like. In fact, I use the
Ameritron RCS-10 switch and a simple LPT port interface to let me switch
7 antennas without needing a band decoder.

It would be really great if DX4WIN offered similar flexibility. The
N1MM arrangement is described at
http://n1mm.hamdocs.com/tiki-index.php?page=Configurerstructure=N1MM+Logger+Documentation#Configurer_gt_Antennas_Tab

for anyone who is intrested. Paul?

[Dx4win] ERROR on RTTY

2012-01-30 Thread Dieter Schuster
Hello

When booting DX4WIN, there is always an error message coming up: RTTY
failed to open

When switching the radio to RTTY, the mode field does not change to RTTY.
All other radio commands like frequency and CW or SSB are carried out
correctly.

Using DX4WIN 8.05 and Flex 5000A

Any suggestion ?

I agree. That would be a great enhancement.
