[Dx4win] screen spots from spotter?
Is there a way to screen off spots from a spotter using DX4WIN? There is a certain spotter that will go un-named, that spots DX spots that I can never hear anyway. It's annoying to me to get these spots. My ham friend says that his free logging program has this feature but I'm not ready to give up on DX4WIN as I like it. Re: [Dx4win] screen spots from spotter?
Set up a filter at your node, so the spots won't even be sent to DX4WIN. Syntax varies between the different Cluster software, so you'll have to check the docs. If you have trouble with it, feel free to email me directly and tell me which softwqare the node uses (usually found in the sign-on headers or with show/version). Re: [Dx4win] screen spots from spotter?
The Node I use has VERY flexible filters. I have had the certain spotter's un-hearable spots completely eliminated. The Node allows me to filter by Continent, Spotter, Country, etc., etc., etc. AND, the Node has Skimmers which can be turned on/off at will and set to only spot by numerous criteria. It's preety new and absolutely great!! Everyone should give it a try!! It's KQ8M.NO-IP.ORG It's run by Tim KQ8M who is a long-time DX-er and Contester and he bends over backwards to accomodate the Users' needs. 73/GL, Bob K8BL --- On Thu, 4/12/12, Mel ve...@videotron.ca wrote: From: Mel ve...@videotron.ca Subject: Re: [Dx4win] screen spots from spotter? [Dx4win] Help Needed: importing LogPlus logbook.dbf without losing QSL data
I tried using File|Import scroll down to logplus etc. and lost the QSL date and the confirmation that I had received a card. Then I tried CVBBASE.EXE (in the import directory). It produced a text file with all the QSL info included (although, the file format is nothing like the description in HELP). Perhaps I just need to know how to import the text file. Do You know of a tutorial that would guide me thru this process? [Dx4win] Ignoring Screen spots from spotter
If someone knows how to set this in AR-Cluster I would very much appreciate a response to get this setup. Re: [Dx4win] Ignoring Screen spots from spotter - Filter Example
FYI Here is the Filter I use on my local AR-Cluster ( KQ8M.NO-IP.ORG ) which is running Version 6 : SET DX FILTER ( Cty K and Cty VE ) AND ( SpotterCty = K Or SpotterCty = VE ) AND SPOTTER W3LPL -3 This is what it does.. It excludes K VE stations from being spotted AND It supplies spots only from K VE stations AND It excludes all spots from a certain spotter. Hope this helps users on newer AR-Clusters. 73/GL, Bob K8BL P.S. The exclusion of the K VE stations being spotted is to avoid seeing Skimmer spots of domestic CQ'ers. It's easy to turn them back ON during domestic Contests.
