[Dx4win] Edit packet macro keys too short
I've discovered that I can do almost any type of filtering that I need for my operation while on the clusters I've found that allow complex filtering but. The Macro keys do not leave enough space for my rather lengthy filter commands. I wonder if these can be expanded? Is this a request for update by the author? Or am I doing something wrong? Thanks. Another user figured how to include a text file as part of your macro, meaning you can make it as long as you want. Maybe he'll respond. I can't remember exactly who it was. I found the note. It was written by John N3AM. Re: [Dx4win] Edit packet macro keys too short
Jim, I think that was me... You can create function key files and send the content - for either mode macros (CW, RTTY, PSK) or the packet window. Syntax is: label | filename, with .txt being the assumed file suffix For example, a button labeled MyFilter, calling the file THEFILTER.TXT, in subdirectory names MACROS would be: Filter|%f..\macros\thefilter -larry (K8UT) -Original Message- From: Jim Reisert AD1C Sent: Thursday, April 19, 2012 12:29 PM To: George Cc: dx4win@mailman.qth.net Subject: Re: [Dx4win] Edit packet macro keys too short On Thu, Apr 19, 2012 at 6:39 AM, George W2YJ wrote: I've discovered that I can do almost any type of filtering that I need for my operation while on the clusters I've found that allow complex filtering but. [Dx4win] DX4WIN unable to open program
Running DX4WIN version 8.05 in Vista Home Premium 32 bit here and have had NO problems for 3 ~ 4 years. However over the past two days I have not been able to run DX4WIN. On opening the program I get a Microsoft WIndows error message pop-up saying, DX4WIN.exe main program has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. One weird thing I've discovered is, if I remove my licence key file (G0DEZ_lic.dx4w8) from the DX4WIN folder, the program will open as expected in Demo mode. Could my licence key file have gotten corrupted, or is there a conflict with a recent Windows update, or something else? Interested to hear if anyone else is having similar problems since about 17 April when my problem seemed to start. I have performed a System Restore to a point 3 weeks ago but still cannot open DX4WIN with my licence key file present. Any ideas?
