Re: [Dx4win] Does CW Announce work in Windows 7?
Paul, Could it be that the port driver was not installed? If that is the case, look at the document setupdone.rtf in the docs sub-directory of DX4WIN. --Paul, KK4HD On 5/31/2012 9:20 PM, Paul Ferguson wrote: Jim, I tried 8.05 and it would not produced any CW announcements on my Win 7 64-bit system. Is this a known limitation? I don't know, Paul. Can you try downloading and installing 8.05 (install in the suggested directory, not Program Files). See if that makes any difference. [Dx4win] Any news on updates to DX4WIN
Hi Paul, On a different note, is there any forward visibility of any planned updates to DX4WIN, either incremental or major releases? I know you had a few things I think on the back burner, a year ago. 73 Dave G3NKC __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
[Dx4win] Spot callsign into callsign field
When moving from 8.03 to 8.05 I have lost a function. Packet spots used to deliver the callsign of the spot into the callsign field - I can't make 8.05 do that. All the other data does move into the QSO window - it states the proper country, etc. Is there a menu item somewhere that turns this off and on? [Dx4win] Label printing
I have a Brother QL-700 label printer which does a nice job on address labels as well as QSL labels. The problem is on printer setup in DX4WIN, I put in the size I use which is 2.4 x 1.1 but DX4WIN will not hold that size and defaults back to 1.1 x 3.5 after closing and reopening??? Am I missing something, which is usually the case, or is this a bug with vs 8.05? Re: [Dx4win] Any news on updates to DX4WIN
Expanding beyond two radios will be wonderful, maybe up to half dozen, a radio selection pull down tab will be ideal. On a similar note, it will be nice to set soft limits for each rotator, especially useful for side mounted antenna were the rotor can not cover the whole travel range and is limited to a specific sector. This will be a great feature. -Original Message- From: dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net [mailto:dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net] On Behalf Of W9RPM Sent: Friday, June 01, 2012 10:42 AM To: dx4win@mailman.qth.net Subject: Re: [Dx4win] Any news on updates to DX4WIN Paul, bothering you again also. Re: [Dx4win] Does CW Announce work in Windows 7?
Paul, I am not sure the port driver was installed correctly. When I run LPTDriver.exe, it suggests installing into the C:\dx4w803\drivers directory. This seems incorrect. I have a demo version of Dx4win ver 8.05 installed in C:\dx4w805. What directory path should be used to to install the port driver? On my Win 7 computer, I do not have a physical LPT port. I assume one is not required if I only want to hear CW announce (not to send CW.) 73, Paul K5ESW Paul, Could it be that the port driver was not installed?
