ALT+S regularly during operations is a very good procedure. Reading some olds messages about backup I found an trick: On Preferences, QSO window options you can set where the Secondary backup should save. I choose Dropbox directory because it makes an automatic backup from all files on it. It's free and works great. Hello Art To avoid this problem, after each QSO I save my log by "ALT + S". 73 F5PHW Phil All info about FO8RZ is on http://f5phw.hamlogs.net/?lng=en - Mail original - De: "Art Holmes" À: dx4win@mailman.qth.net Envoyé: Vendredi 29 Juin 2012 14:30:41 Objet: [Dx4win] save to file I goofed yesterday I was working European stations on six meters . [Dx4win] delete ADIF file!!!
While i was exporting an adif file i deleted by mistake the Adif choise. So the next time i tried to export an adi file this wasn't an option. In case you did this mistake, you should find an old copy of dx4win.iep file and put it in your save directory. I did it and all are ok agn. Maybe Paul should add a question "are you sure?" because someone must hit the delete key with is fat fingers... 73 Kostas SV1DPI __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
Re: [Dx4win] save to file
Art, There could be two backup files of your log: 1. c:\dx4w805\dx4win.dxb copy this file to c:\dx4w805\save\test.dxl and see what you have 2. c:\dx4w805\save\w1rzf.~xl Copy this file to c:\dx4w805\save\test2.dxl and see what you have You must have missed the question to save your changes when you exited the program. --Paul, KK4HD On 6/29/2012 8:30 AM, Art Holmes wrote: > I goofed yesterday I was working European stations on six meters . [Dx4win] save to file
I goofed yesterday I was working European stations on six meters . Had about 30 qsos and 20 new countries. I kept referring to the logbook to prevent duplicates. I got tired and decided to stop..
