[Dx4win] Building Export File for LOTW

2012-09-11 Thread Harry Williams
I have used the F8 command to find a subset of QSO’s in my log. After I execute
the search I have a subset of the log with 296 qso’s in it. I want to export
all of these to LOTW so I went in to the dx4win LOTW menu and set the upload
flag and it said 296 qso’s selected. Now when I do the LOTW export it says 157
qso’s exported. How come I did not get all of them...what am I doing wrong?

Thanks and 73,
Harry

Harry, most likely, you had already exported ~ 140 of those QSOs, to
LoTW, so they did not get marked with the upload flag a second time.

If you really want to export this subset, regardless of whether they
were exported previously, use the main menu to get to File |
Import/Export, then just import the current selection (296 QSOs) to
ADIF. It will accomplish what you want.

I believe DX4Win checks both the Upload Flag and the Upload Date before
uploading. If Jim is correct and you previously uploaded those QSOs, you
can use the LoTW/Clear LoTW Upload Date selection after you have filtered
the 296 QSOs.Then those ~140 QSOs will get uploaded again.

Bud...that was the issue. I did a clear Upload Date on my entire log, did the
F8 thing and then set the upload flag for the 296 qso’s. This time the export
got all 296!

Thanks Bud and Jim for the info.

2012-09-11 Thread Art - W6KY
A note from LOTW:

Aug 19, 2012: Logbook of The World Processing is Current -- Log submission
guidance: Please refrain from uploading files more than once as this only
adds
to the processing time. If your TQ8 file has been queued for processing it
will be processed.
When creating TQ8 files please include new QSOs only. Uploading previously
uploaded QSOs or uploading your entire log again only adds to the processing
time.

DX4WIN keeps track of this and only creates an ADIF
file of new QSO's that haven't been uploaded to LOTW.
(as long as you say 'yes' to setting the upload flag)

Bud, you missed this:

Bud...that was the issue. I did a clear Upload Date on my entire log,

He cleared all the upload dates, but then only exported 296 QSOs. Now
he has all the rest of his QSOs with neither an upload date or the
upload flag set. Hence my reply.

[Dx4win] dxcc vs. vucc

2012-09-11 Thread Steve K7AWB
I worked a Hungary station on 6 meters on June 29th. A few days later, our
LOTW uploads matched giving me a new country on 6 for DXCC. Unfortunately ,
he did not fill out his TQSL info so he had no zone or VUCC grid listed. So
I did not get a VUCC match for his grid.

In DX4WIN, I show a letter C for a confirmation on VUCC reports as well as
the C for DXCC reports. It should NOT show a VUCC match because he did
not list his grid. I have asked him 3 times to complete the TQSL info and
resubmit all his erroneous uploads including mine (of course!), but he has
not done it and may not understand my English or want to do it. I do have a
card in the mail system which , if received some day, will satisfy the VUCC
requirement for the ARRL.

But can't DX4WIN handle my situation so I do not show that the his grid has
been confirmed?
