Re: [Dx4win] SWL labels

2014-11-17 Thread John Carl Mason
Thanks for all the help and advice. It would help if the group info (%%) did
work for SWL labels on the second line.

 John,

I did ask Paul (more than a year ago and also two weeks ago again) to add a
new feature to print also the group number on the SWL labels as this is
currently not supported. No need to look further for the solution as we need
to wait for a new release to support this.

Thank you for the quick response.

I had the labels set up already as Kostas suggested. However. The %% made no
difference and the group info is not printing!

I'm not sure what was meant by the second answer? I just want to add SWL
number with the call of the station being reported and the log details.

Sorry if I have missed something.

 Thanks,

  Also,
Is it possible with a SWL label to print the station worked as well as the
SWL number rather than just the contact details like time, band, mode etc.
  Thanks,

Re: [Dx4win] Using Dx4win alert levels for DXCC Challenge?

2014-11-17 Thread Kostas SV1DPI
just a thought... If you de-activate digital modes, you will have all
rtty spots as grey spots. So no alert. Of course this does not solve the
problem because you will loose any possible new band on rtty will be
also grey spot. But usually someone will spot the station without the
word rtty, so you have good chances to see the spot...

I would like to receive an Alert from Dx4win when a new band country is

interested in working as many band countries as possible (DXCC
Challenge Award), but I am not chasing new entities per mode.

In File Preferences DX Alerts, I set New Award Band. This will
alert me when a new band country is spotted, but it will also give me
an alert if the spot is higher priority, i.e. New Country or New
Award Mode.

Since I work so little RTTY, most RTTY spots cause an alert because
they would be a new mode for me. I do not care about increasing my RTTY
mode total. The quantity of the alerts makes the alert system of little
use for my case.

I would like a way to set the priority of New Band higher than New
Mode. Is this being considered for future releases?

2014-11-17 Thread Paul Ferguson
Hi Kostas,

That would work to prevent all the RTTY alerts and was how I had it
set, but it gave me another problem.

I saw a spot a few days ago from SV2ASP/A on 10m RTTY. My Country
window showed I did not have SV/A on 10m.

Later I found I had already worked SV/A a year ago on RTTY. My Country
window was not showing DIG modes because I had set it that way to avoid
all the new RTTY entities I did not care about.

let the digitals mode on station, dxcc. Agn I am not sure that it will
