[Dx4win] Now this is a odd one 9.0.5
Upgraded to 9.0.5 and the process went smoothly. The only issue I am having is the same others are seeing (update cluster and iota files in a endless loop). But this one has me stumped. (Windows 7 SP2 64 bit) The upgrade deleted itself from the start menu > all programs. It also deleted its uninstall file so I am not able to uninstall it automatically. The registry is not showing any uninstall file available. In fact, the registry doesn't even know DX4WIN exists. But I am able to run 9.0.5 with no issues whatsoever. This is not a killer for me and otherwise 9.0.5 is working great. And the new skins look great too. The addition of memberships to the logging screen is very useful as well. Start entering K4TKT (some random call I picked) then Tab. Callsign/Mgr lookup window has details from RAC callbook. Click "Update QSO" in that window. Fields are filled into logbook. Enter to log QSO. Then review the QSO. [Dx4win] More 9.05 Issues
I worked ZS8IR in 1996 on SSB/17M. Got a LotW conformation and it is marked as checked in the log. But, the country/band window is empty, i.e., no checks in any box and the report lsiting says it was never worked. In fact, the DXCC report is nuts it shows 125 countries checked in mixed mode when in fact I have 340 checked in mixed mode (#1 honor roll on wall). Anyone else setting this odd behavior or know how to fix it? Am I correct in thinking that if I download the newest version it automatically overwrites the current? Assuming so is there any way to download separately to see if I want to update? last night winkey worked great with Writelog but no keying with Dx4WIN thru microKeyer2. All the settings were the same as 9.04. Turned everything off and went to bed. Got up this morning switched on and VOILA everything now working go figure!
