[Dx4win] Transverter Mode
HI, I have set up the transverter mode on 10 metres and the offset 42,000 the plan is to use 4 metres my IC746 tunes 28+42 gives 70 MHz the IC 746 works on all the bands but when I select 4 metres from the band map DX4WIN logs 4 metres and then switches back to 28 MHz . what am I doing wrong? is there going to be any more updates of DX4WIN? there are new rigs out there now I think it is 3 years since the last update. [Dx4win] vitual comports
I have had to resort to using vpe virtual comports my COM3 with freq/Mode data is directed to COM10 a virtual splitter All works well but sometimes the DX4WIN thinks I'm on 1296 when on 30 metres then switches back to 30m I have to use the virtual comport to split the com3 data to my SDR. It is rock steady when no splitter is used and COM3 is used by DX4WIN Is there a fix for this? HI , My IC7800 qsy s fine on spots on but I notice the split is not put into the rig only the rx freq I have a IC775 it puts the rig into split mode and the tx freq was also Is there a new driver for the 7800 ver 3 . OK now I have the comports working and checked using other prog it has revelled anther prob. [Dx4win] CW Keyer
Well the CW keyer does work if you use Ver 8.01 run as adminstrator, but I thought the DTR and rts lines seemed swapped, but could be wrong. My Fix for the moment is to use Ver 8.01 but still need the fix of the .dll to stop the parallel port error message coming up at the beginning. I'll get round to that I've too much to do at the moment will wait till Ver 8.03.05 comes out. This Win7 has been a problem from the start, but that is the way with the world we are forced into using WINDOWS by the manufacturers and shops that will just sell WIN7 It's the future and you just have to force yourself to come to grips with it! I tried to get a small net book with Linux which were available 6 months ago, now the only option is windows, I just feel that we are being squeezed into the windows platform wither we like it or not My reason for using Linux in a net book is for security in cafes etc were you can read everybody's emails.. Hi Guys, I forgot to mention on my computer I have a one real comport all works when I use it. Trouble is I need more than this one, I prefer to use a separate port for the CW port TX/RX, and the Transceiver operations freq and mode Oh! And another one for TX/RX for RTTY I have a couple of PCI boards which I have tried all work on XP but you have guessed it not on Win7 The most cost effective way seems to be buy a single USB/Serial converter on a sale and return from my local Computer shop at £10 Anyway they work on Vista but Win7 is an unknown. Just noticed when on SSB I now have a choice of 3 numbers for the = report I don't expect to give 599 on ssb .the only way round this to TAB to = the next field. Before in ver5 when 2 charactars where pressed whilst on SSB the cursur = moved it's self. Why is this ? will there be a fix ?
