[Dx4win] Removing unwanted parts from the log

2016-11-05 Thread Dieter Schuster

Hi
In Oktober 2012 I participated in the CQWW SSB-Contest under my Contest
Call DP6A.
In a mistake I imported this DP6A-File into my normal DL8OH.DXL-file
instead of importing it into the DP6A.DXL-File where it belongs to..

Therefore I want to remove this DP6A-file from it's wrong place now.

Is there any advice from the audience on how to do this correctly?

[Dx4win] Timeout problems with flexradio

2015-12-21 Thread Dieter Schuster
Just to underline:

I have encountered the same problems with me!

Additional question: Could it be an issue of the Firewire connection??

Dieter,

Guess the radio is in SSB mode; so that is what DX4WIN will report as
the mode.

See Main Window | Radio | Ignore mode in real-time (press F1 on that
menu item
for more info, or look for "ignore" in the on-line help)

[Dx4win] an annoying RTTY-problem...

2012-02-03 Thread Dieter Schuster

Working RTTY with this problem becomes annoying

I have no idea so far, but some more info:

I grab a RTTY-spot from the Packet-window. Each field is populated with the
correct data, except the mode-field, which shows only very shortly RTTY
(maybe just for a second!), and then switches to SSB and shows this
permanently. (ok, both rst-field change also from 599 to 59)

Why does it always switch to SSB ??

Maybe someone has an idea?

Hello

When booting DX4WIN, there is always an error message coming up: "RTTY
failed to open"

When switching the radio to RTTY, the mode field does not change to RTTY.
All other radio commands like frequency and CW or SSB are carried out
correctly.

Using DX4WIN 8.05 and Flex 5000A

Any suggestion ?

[Dx4win] Long duration for doing a frequency change

2011-07-17 Thread Dieter Schuster
Hi

When I grab a packet spot, it takes about 5 seconds to switch the radio to
the new frequency.
I feel, this is a bit long but before I complain I would like to know, if
you consider this a decent value.

WinTest, which I am using for contesting on the same PC, does it in a
fraction of a second !

(DX4WIN 8.05; PC: 1.9 GHz; Flexradio 5000A; @ 57000 QSOs in the database)

Any suggestions ?

I downloaded the MASTER.MAS -file and unpacked it into the DX4WIN directory,

Hi,
I need some help with this error-message on a county-report.

When I want to make a county-summary report I go to:
Reportgenerator >> county >> summary.
then always the following error-message pops up:

"An exception occurred: Access violation at address 00402D42 in module
'dx4win802_1.exe'. Read of address ."

Any idea why I can't get my county-report and what I should do ??

[Dx4win] DX4WIN and Flexradio SDR 5000A

2009-11-24 Thread Dieter Schuster
Hi,
I did not find Flexradio SDR 5000A in the DX4WIN-radio-file.

Does this mean, both will not work together?
In case they do, is there anyone, who can tell me how DX4WIN V8 has to be
connected to Flexradio SDR 5000A ?
Any experiences on this combination??

[Dx4win] DX4WIN and Orion

2007-09-16 Thread Dieter Schuster

I spent considerable time to connect my (old) Orion to DX4WIN but it does not
work! Preferences are set as suggested.

The Orion works fine with Writelog and WinTest, wich are installed on the same
Laptop (XP)
Any proposals?
What should I try?

Dieter, make sure RTS is set to "high." BTW, I presume you're using
the orion.rig file?

[Dx4win] multiple custom awards

2007-01-31 Thread Dieter Schuster

Let me post my question again, unfortunately there was no response on my first
attempt.

It would be helpful, if someone (who knows better than I do) can tell me, if
there is any solution for this at all or if multiple custom awards are simply
not feasible in DX4WIN.

73 de Dieter, DL8OH

.let's say W1XYZ holds a Ten Ten Number, a DIG-Number and was operating
from some special lighthouse.

So he would be eligible for at least 3 different custom awards.

The value field will accept only one value and skip the first entry when I key
in the second one.

So the question is:

Does DX4WIN allow only one custom award to be tracked? Or is there any trick to
track multiple awards?

Glenn,

Go into preferences
Go to the QSO TAB
Look for CW frequency Cutoff
Select 40 M
Change standard 7150 to 7040
Save changes and exit

Is there any way of editing the band plan that DX4win understands for 40m.
Say station VU7LD is spotted on 7.065 I can guess its going to be an LSB
signal but yet when I click on the spot on the cluster with this information
the rig goes to the correct freq OK but sets up in CW instead of SSB. (Yes
I know some of you will be asking do you want DX4win to work the station as
well for me - getting too lazy)

I am running an FT1000MP and suspect the answer to my query is as usual dead
easy to spot but perhaps I have overlooked it.
