Re: [Dx4win] DX4WIN Digest, Vol 240, Issue 2
I want to say thanks for all the help. I finally have it figure out on how to change .DXL files to .ADI files. I needed to get that done so I could upload to LOTW and get credit for my DX contacts. I looked in the help files and tried but did not find it. Thanks to the other users who contacte me and helped out. It is nice to have friends who know how to do these things. Now to figure out how to filter DX only for the DX Marathon. Another task to figure out before December. OK Gang. I found a pile of QSL cards, about 555 of them. All DX and they were in a drawer from a move. I noticed none of them are in my logging program. I am entering them into my log and realized they are not all entered as confirmed. I just recently learned how to open up the bottom sections of my logging and enter the cards for confirmation. It says use the F2 key to confirm and I have that key set in the preferences. When I hit the F2 key it automatically enters an "S" in all the boxes??? So my question is this. I manually enter the cards as "C" for confirmed. Is this correct? I see C-S-L and figured they are Confirmed, Sent, and LOTW? Is this correct. Also on my page 69 it says you have to hit the F10 key to save the changes. When you make the changes and hit the enter key, and save the changes does this do the same thing? And this is just a fast function key to do the same thing? Sorry for the reading but I am trying to learn more all the time. hee hee... I started up a separate log and use it solely for my QRP contacts so that I can easily see how many I have worked and how many I need. It is easier with the DX Cluster running on the bottom to see when a country I need comes up and it is highlighted that way. When I run it in my QRO log it just does not display. However, I now have a slight problem in that I need to figure out how to import just the most recent contacts as a group from the QRP log to the QRO log. i.e. say contacts in the QRP log from 700 to 800 and switch all the data from the one log to the other. That way I don't have to import the whole log again. I am afraid I might open a can of worms with the rest of the contacts I finally got entered in there since 1968. I am just trying to figure out how to do this easily. I am sure one or more of you know how to do this. I have read and re-read the book over and over again and I seem to have missed this part in there somewhere.
