[Dx4win] Import of a CSV file
Hello Group I'm sure this has been discussed before, so please accept my apologies My question is: I've created a "All Fields" logbook report using all fields available. I've used that to create a CSV file by using the "write to file" option with the Report Editor function of DX4Win. I'd like to change a couple of fields in this CSV file, then re-import the log entries back into DX4Win. Is this re-import possible, and how would I do it? Thanks to all 73 de Lou Sica AC0X [EMAIL PROTECTED]
[Dx4win] 5BWAZ submission?
Any way to get data for a 5BWAZ submission from DX4Win? The 5BWAZ report doesn't include UTC, which the 5BWAZ form requires, and I can't seem to find a way to automatically flag the QSO's on that report so I can create my own output file or logbook report. Any help would be appreciated. 73 de AC0X [EMAIL PROTECTED]
[Dx4win] Enhancement suggestions- DX4Win World Map
Even though it doesn't seem that DX4Win is getting upgraded as aggressively as it used to be (which is probably a good thing, hi), some suggestions to making the DX4Win World Map more useful 1) An additional way to zoom in and out of a view besides "I" and "O". Arrow keys? Right and left mouse keys? Not sure, but the I/O combo is kind of cumbersome. 2) "Smart" finding by prefix. Being able to pinpoint by callsign the various UA oblasts, PY call districts, etc. 3) A way to search the various "find" lists instead of just scrolling. Maybe by matching typed characters? 4) The "smart" prefix listed next to items in the various "find" lists (especially cities) to help someone differentiate between listings with similar spellings. and 5) The ability to turn a controlled rotor to whatever city/county/island/prefix that's just been selected.
[Dx4win] telnet address for the AC0X cluster node
The telnet address for the AC0X cluster node is changing to ac0x.no-ip.com. You may want to make the change in your save/dx4win.tcp files.
[Dx4win] 6.0.1 and SWL Labels
Is there anyway to have 6.0.1 print the callsign of the station you worked on SWL labels? Don't most SWL'ers need that for your card to "count" for them?
[Dx4win] Version 6? When?
I've been seeing a number of threads about "wish lists" for DX4Win, and other things people are hoping for in future versions. Does anyone have any word on when a future version may be coming out? 5.03 is going on 2 years old now, with no updates since then.
[Dx4win] Callsign of station worked on SWL labels
Is there a way to have the callsign of the station you worked appear on SWL labels? Thanks to all Lou Sica AC0X [EMAIL PROTECTED]
[Dx4win] Next version?
Just curious.. when's the next version of DX4Win (5.04? 5.1? 6.0?) due out, and might we have a little "teaser" of what features might be in it?
[Dx4win] Moving the "/SAVE" directory?
Is there a way in DX4Win to have it look for the "/SAVE" directory in some other place than the DX4Win directory itself? I'd like to put it in my "My Documents" folder, making my system backup a little easier.
[Dx4win] 3rd QSO on label?
Is there a way to get a third QSO to appear on the QSO label? I thought there was something that could be done with the SWL comment line to open it up as a regular comment line, allowing you to move down your comments and print a third QSO.
[Dx4win] Reinstalling
Hello all, Due to hardware failure, I have to reinstall windows and all my other apps on a new hard drive. I can pull specific files from one hard drive to another. When I reinstall DX4Win on my new hard drive, what files do I need to move to keep all my data, parameters, and settings? Lou AC0X [EMAIL PROTECTED]
[Dx4win] DX4Win ad on QSL labels.
Yes I use DX4Win. Yes I love DX4Win. But I'd really like to know if there's a way to get rid of the "Verified by DX4Win" message on the bottom of my QSL labels. Is there a way to do this?
[Dx4win] RTTY/CW demod/transmit in DX4Win
Here's an idea... Instead of writing a whole RTTY/CW demod/transmit into DX4Win, why not have it take advantages of the DLL hooks available in an existing piece if software, like DXSoft's TrueTTY and CWGet? The docs from DXSoft to do this are available at http://www.dxsoft.com/dxs-exch.zip
[Dx4win] DXAtlas
A great (I think) accessory to DX4Win, DXAtlas, is in version 1.4 now. It's available for download at http://www.dxatlas.com Now if we can just convince Paul to take advantage of it's COM interface and have version 5.1 fully integrated with it ;-)
[Dx4win] New Computer - Which Windows to use?
Why is it "interesting" that DX4Win replies to the whole group instead of just the "writer of the message"? The question was posted to the group, why not respond to the group? Maybe others on the group would find the information useful, too. As far as LPT keying in Windows 2000, you just need to make sure the LPT port you're using for keying uses the standard, old DOS interrupts and addresses (example, LPT1 at I/O:378F and Int:7), and move over your printers to your LPT ports that are "I/O shared" through windows. Besides that little wrinkle, I'd say Windows 2000 is your best choice. Much more stable than W98SE or ME. XP would be a second choice (I suspect you can't get W2K anymore anyway), but I just feel comfortable letting everyone else shake out a new O/S before I get it ;-) - Original Message - From: "Wendell Wyly W5FL" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: Sent: Tuesday, January 01, 2002 12:13 AM Subject: RE: [Dx4win] New Computer - Which Windows to use? > Interesting that DX4WIN no longer replies to the writer of the message, but > to the whole group. > > I have DX4WIN and Writelog on an Athlon 1600 system running under Windows > 2000. [Dx4win] DXAtlas
Anyone here ever work with DXAtlas? I keep it up and running on the screen while I run DX4Win, and use it instead of the DX4Win atlas. I just wish the two programs could interact with each other. Maybe 5.0.4 or 5.0.5?
