[Dx4win] About the Masterlookup window.

2024-03-09 Thread Luciano de la Rosa
About the Masterlookup window.
I introduce an indicative in the Callsign field, I give the TAB key to move
to the next field, but the Masterlookup field is still blank.
If you enter an indicative both partially, or when the callsign enters
completely the Masterlookup window remains blank.
The only way to see in the Masterlookup window is by clicking with the
mouse in the window.
Shouldn't it activate automatically while any indicative is introduced?
With the right mouse button I select in the window both in convert and sub
string and I do not notice that it is solved.
Any suggestion?

[Dx4win] Fatal error

2024-01-19 Thread Luciano de la Rosa
Good night all.
I am doing the World Award 2024 that is active throughout the month of
January.
It turns out that the records I had on the computer throughout the 19th and
the first hour of day 20, that is from 00:01 to 00:48, by mistake I pressed
the wrong key and when closing Dx4win, he did not record them.
My question is the following, is the possibility of recovering them? In
some temporal file, I don't know ...
Or is your recovery impossible?

Greetings for everyone.

Re: [Dx4win] What is the future of DX4WIN?

2023-11-20 Thread Luciano de la Rosa
Hi.

I have used the DX4Win version for many years, I think that since the late
80s or early 90s.

I have considered that it is a very stable program, and as some users have
indicated here, to upload an Adif file to LOTW only a couple of clicks are
needed and it only takes a couple of minutes.

We must also thank Jim, for the maintenance of the databases and the
complementary programs he has developed so that everything was easier.

But I also have to say against him, that when there was a review of version
8, the windows changed position every time the program opened.

Here they told me a solution to always remain in the same place, but it did
not work for me, and every time the program starts I have to manually place
the windows in their position.

I think Paul must correct that problem, before moving on to version 9,
since many users continue working with version 8.

For the rest it seems to me that it is a great program that meets very well
and I do not think you are willing to start a new learning curve with
another program.

This is my humble opinion as a user.

Greetings to all.

[Dx4win] DXCC

2023-11-17 Thread Luciano de la Rosa
Greetings to all.
A question that I am not sure.
Proximly, I want to send some QSL's to Card Checker and also validate
through LOTW some credits.
My question is, when I have done it, I must manually mark those credits,
putting the "C" checking on the DXCC tab?

Greetings to all.

[Dx4win] Import ADIF from DXlog

2023-10-30 Thread Luciano de la Rosa
 Hio group.
I have done this weekend the CQ WW SSB Contest, (by the way Jim, AD1C
thanks for the exchange 59 33--59 04 on 10/28/23 22:05).
The fact is that I have first used the Dxlog program, and the truth is that
I have been gratimously surprised.
I just want to add, in the Notes for This QSO: CQ World Wide 2023.
I have used other programs for competitions that matter a lot of
information that for me is not relevant.
When exporting the DXLOG I get a screen with the following data:
QSO Comment If I add here: CQ World Wide 2023, in which DX4WIN field would
you add it? Should I click on the other options? QSL Message CQ World Wide? etc
etc etc.

Thanks in advance for the help.

[Dx4win] DOK List

2023-08-06 Thread Luciano de la Rosa
 Hi.
I have a question, in the personalized award, when I choose the "DOK" DLD
award of the DARC, I have observed that G39 is missing.
Maybe it's fine and I am using a list that is not updated, but the one I am
using, I have lowered it a few days ago, from the DARC page.
It is an Excel file called Kopie_von_doks_Bands, and on this Excel
calculation sheet, if G39 appears.

All the best.

[Dx4win] Utility "Compare Lotw To Dx4win"

2022-12-20 Thread Luciano de la Rosa
Hi.
I wanted DX4WIN to manage the DXCC Awards, and of the 3 shipments that I
have made to the DXCC Card Checker, alone, the flags appear, in the first
shipment.
I have been watching the "Compare Lotw To DX4WIN" program, and in the end I
did not dare to use it, so as not to make a mistake for my clumsiness, (I
was seeing all the documentation about it, on the Jim page, but it seemed
more and more complicated) Maybe it's not as complicated as it seems.
I think the next step will be, manually mark, all the QSL checked for
awards.
If someone has used it and can guide me, I would appreciate it.
Greetings for all and happy holiday.

[Dx4win] Adif to Dx4win 9.9

2022-12-12 Thread Luciano de la Rosa
Hi jim.
This weekend I participated in the 10 M ARRL Contest and used the Adif to
Dx4win 9.9 application, and I have to tell you that the importation of the
almost 1200 QSO I made on Sunday, DX4WIN, worked perfectly.
Jim congratulations for making things much more easy.

I have used the DXLOG program for contests.
At the end of the contest and export the ADIF file, at the time of saving

But once imported, when opening the DX4win, that note appears in "notes for
this call."
Shouldn't he be in "Notes for this QSO"?

Thank you very much for the contribution Jim.
I have printed it and I have put it with my Counties Award Record Book,
that green book that is with me since the beginning of the 90s.
I think this prize has devalued a little, because apart from the QSL, on
paper, they only accept e-qsl (I closed my E-QSL account), but does not
accept confirmations via Lotw.
I hope that in the future, such confirmations are accepted.
All the best.

[Dx4win] Counties database

2022-11-16 Thread Luciano de la Rosa
Hi,
I just receive the QSL of KK7BWJ, where it indicates that the county is
Carson City Co.
I have looked at:

https://cq-amateur-radio.com/cq_awards/cq_usa_ca_awards/cq_usa_ca_awards.html

And if Carson City appears. In the DX4win database does not appear, it may
be a new county.
Is it possible to add to the DX4WIN database?

Re: [Dx4win] FW: Operating from two QTH.

2022-10-24 Thread Luciano de la Rosa
Hi.
In the end, I was able to solve the problem.
When I entered QSL print, it did not allow me to save the changes made,
such as marking print Group Names.
I created another "custom", with another number, I added the same
parameters I had to print my labels, and now I can change and save.
Greetings to all.

Re: [Dx4win] FW: Operating from two QTH.

2022-10-23 Thread Luciano de la Rosa
Hello again everyone.
I can't mark, the "Print Group Names" box, in QSLS/Print QSL Label.
Every time I set that option, when I leave, it is unmarked.
Any suggestion?

Re: [Dx4win] FW: Operating from two QTH.

2022-10-17 Thread Luciano de la Rosa
Hi. I have already tried to create two groups with different Grid to print
the QSLs when I am working on different qth.
Create two groups:
Group 4: Grid Il18sk
Group 5: Grid Il18ul
With F8 I choose the group (4) and Marco Label (Y), and print the QSL of
that group.
I press F8 again and then I choose the group (5) and Marco Label (Y) and
when printing, the QSO data does not appear, such as Callsign, Date, UTC,
Band etc. etc.
Only print the line that puts: DR, PSE QSL. 73 of EA8AM Op. Luc.
I leave the program and re -enter and when I choose the group (5) if you
print all the data correctly.
I suppose you have to first print a group, get out of the program, choose
another group and print to load the corresponding file.

Another thing that does not always remain marked is: Print QSL Labels/Print
Group Names.
Every time I try to print, I must mark it manually.
It does not remain marked as, for example, Print via Manager, that it
always remains marked.
Saving those two little things, the rest works well.

*Thanks to all who spent a few minutes helping me with their contributions.

Re: [Dx4win] FW: Operating from two QTH.

2022-10-12 Thread Luciano de la Rosa
Thank you Jerry also for contributing your idea.
I would prefer a single record, as you say, to keep statistics.
In the city, when I use the CAT of the equipment, the frequency is
reflected, however, the one I have on the farm is an old equipment, a
Kenwood TS-130SE, where the frequency does not appear in that field.
Therefore, that is a way of knowing, from which QTH I made the QSO.
Thanks to Dave, Kostas and you for taking your time and helping me figure
this out.

Thanks Dave,
I'll try to do as you comment, although at first it seems cumbersome, I
suppose that when it is done several times and the process is mechanized,
it will be easier.

Thanks again Dave.

Re: [Dx4win] FW: Operating from two QTH.

2022-10-09 Thread Luciano de la Rosa
Hi David.
Thanks for your answer, very detailed by the way.
What I tried to do was create two .ini files, one for each QTH, and load
the corresponding file for each QTH, and with the corresponding Grid and
DME data, but it didn't work as I expected.
I'll try to do what you say about groups, although I thought there would be
an easier way to do it.
David, all the best.

[Dx4win] Operating from two QTH.

2022-10-09 Thread Luciano de la Rosa
Hello. I operate from two QTH and I want to prepare QSL showing from
which QTH was made each QSO. Is there a procedure to cofigurate labels
to show the DME (Spanish Munnicipalities Diplome) reference and the
square grid for each QTH? Thanks for any idea.
