Hi Paul, Excel can import DBase format data. [Dx4win] K1EL keyer
Hi, Thanks for the comments. I hope that Paul can add support for it soon. Its a great keyer and solves all the keying reliability problems that Windows ( especially XP) adds to trying to drive CW through the DTR pin of a serial port!. By sending ASCII down a serial port and having the K1EL keyer manage the keying of the rig gives consistent and predictable keying irrespective of what is going on in the Windows environment. I've worked out what I was doing to make it work. WKTERM is a dos application that can be used to test the K1EL keyer. I was running that under a DOS BOX in XP, and then opened up DX4WIN. K1EL keyer was on a serial port that was not used by DX4WIN so they both coexisted together and I was able to use the paddle connected to K1EL to key the rig, but of course none of the DX4Win macros worked! Hi all, newby with DX4WIN. Does anyone know if DX4WIN supports the K1EL keyer? I am sure that I have had it working on DX4Win but cant seem to make it work now! K1EL keyer is a great external keyer for contest and logging under windows. Also are there some windows you cannot close? The Packet window X box does not close the window. I can only minimize it.
