[Dx4win] Filter selection in DX4Win

2004-07-29 Thread Ron Tivey
Hello All,

Several months ago I ask a question about the filters for the IC-756Pro
radios and DX4Win.

Thanks to the help of a friend the question of filter selection
through DX4Win to the IC-756ProII has been answered.

In the DX4Win/radio/IC-756ProII file find the following:

[RC-Set Mode]
CSTR=060002FD
LEN=0
LOC=Other

The (2) is the filter selection. Change the number as follows: Wide =1
Middle =2 and Narrow = 3. Unfortunately this changes the filter setting
for all modes. Maybe in the next release Paul can figure a way to set
the filters for each mode separately or maybe a way to change the filter
from the program.

[Dx4win] Uknown version of logfile

2003-07-05 Thread Ron Tivey
Hi Guys,

I had a problem with Dx4win saving a contact. Closed the program and
restarted the program. The program said there was a backup copy of the
logfile and I saved it under n4gfo1. When I try to open the file it
says Unknown version of logfile Both files won't open and have the
same statement. Any ideas on how to open either file as they have all
my contacts made in the last week or two?

[Dx4win] Spot announcements

2003-01-30 Thread Ron Tivey
Hello to All,

I upgraded to 6.01 this morning and moved all the needed files but have
noticed that I have spot announcement set for New Country but the
program is announcing New Mode and New Band. I have looked at the
preferences and haven't figured it out.

BTW: All my stats/numbers were OK.

Thanks,
Ron, N4GFO

[Dx4win] USB to Serial Device

2002-02-22 Thread Ron Tivey
Hello to all,

Anyone have any luck with using a USB to serial device on a laptop. I
have a Compaq laptop and want to use it with DX4WIN, and rigblaster and
my IC-706MKII.

[Dx4win] DX4WIN Backup

2002-01-25 Thread Ron Tivey
Hello to all,

Every so often I do something really dumb, today is one of those times.

I was working on a program bug and my computer locked up. No problem,
Ctrl-Alt-Del to restart. Then I opened dx4win and of course I got the
backup message but here's where the NO-Brainer steps in. I hit NO not
remembering that I worked 4 new ones on 6M yesterday so of course the
computer does what my wife won't, it carries on with my command...

Question of the day, Can I recover that file and restore the backup
with the contacts from yesterday or are they in never never land?

Thanks,

Ron the OOPS I can't believe I did that!! N4GFO
