[Dx4win] Help with QPSK63 Mode
I'm using The current version of DX4WIN (version 8.04) However QPSK63 is not a mode within DX4WIN I made 275 Q's and when I loaded them into DX4WIN I received 275 errors. They showed up as RTTY QSO's?? So is there a work around for this? I see that LOTW does not recognize QPSK63 either. So getting matches will not work if I upload. Thanks is advance, I hope there will be a solution soon. [Dx4win] DX4WIN NETWORK?
Has anyone every asked about a networking feature for DX4WIN?? I like to have 3 radio's going for casual work and sometimes in contest mode with DX4WIN. 1 VHF 2 HF digital 3 HF SSB/CW This is with 2 computers with the HF stations on one and the VHF station on the other CPU. However I always have to make an ADIF file for my VHF QSO's and upload it to the HF computer. How difficult would it be to add networking like the contest programs have??? [Dx4win] Printers
Ok all you QSL card guys and gals out there. What is the trick printer now days (state of the art) for printing QSL card directly (NO Labels) that works with DX4WIN A printer you can add a stack of 50 or more cards and print directly to them! I know I've asked this a few years back but never got around to it. Now is the time to make the plunge. Way to many buro cars to do labels. Re: [Dx4win] Printers
Well I have 3500 cards I need to get rid of before I start to think about card stock. So I was hoping someone had used pre-printed cards with their printer. Looks like most are going with card stock. I wish I would of thought of that before I ordered cards. I can do it easily fill in the boxes on my HP Officejet Pro K550 printer. The paper tray easily adjusts to hold and feed the pre-printed QSL cards. Very nice because you have full control of the font(s) used, their size, color, etc. The printer seems to have no trouble feeding the QSL size cards. However, you need to have a program that will let you format to the location of the boxes to print on the card, and also import the QSL data to fill in the boxes. These two things may take time. I tried with by Brother ink-jet, but I had to fabricate cardboard spacers to make the tray small enough for individial QSL cards... pretty kludgy... it would be a lot easier if you are printing 4 per sheet but that introduces other issues. I found that most printers are NOT adjustable down to the size of QSL cards... that is probably one of the main issues. Also, I have been completely unable to find blank QSL stock at reasonable prices. I looked at the HP laser printers... and that is probably the way to go (if I find card stock) but beware... the low end printers are not worth it. The cost of toner carts is just too high. It pays to get a somewhat more expensive model. I'm waiting for the next sale/clearance at Staples... Wayne King wrote: Ok all you QSL card guys and gals out there. [Dx4win] Fw: 746 Pro Missing From List?
I have DX4WIN 7.02.15 and the Icom 746Pro in not on the list of radios? I tried using 746 but it does not work 100%. I can get it to read the frequency but not in real time. I have to click on the READ button everytime I change freq. Has anyone setup the 746Pro with DX4WIN correctly? What are your parameters? Wayne N2WK
[Dx4win] MMTTY
I have MMTTY running fine by itself. No problems! However with DX4WIN I RX fine and TX only when I clear out an error box which states: An exception has occurred: i.e.. Open-Device already open. Does anyone know what this is about? As soon as I click on one of the TX boxes the error window pops up. If I click Ok I can send F7 and ctlr F8 and F8 but all other buffers will not tx. H MMTTY runs very well by itself but has this TX issue with DX4WIN or maybe my system. I don't know what it is. Thanks and 73, Wayne N2WK
[Dx4win] QUESTIONS ABOUT QSL'ING
Can anyone answer the following? 1) Is anyone printing direct to QSL cards (NO LABEL)? I'm interested in any printer that you can stack a bundle of cards and let it rip. a) If so, What printer are you using? b) Are you using a commercial QSL card or your own? c) Are you willing to share your printer settings and anything else that may be helpful with this subject? 2) I printed some SWL labels and to my surprise the station I worked is NOT on the label. Can the SWL station use these conformations? All that prints out is call sign of the SWL and the QSO info of who I worked but NOT the worked stations call? What am I doing wrong? Wayne N2WK
[Dx4win] DX4WIN W/RTTY?
Is anyone using DX4WIN and RTTY while logging? I've tried PSK31 which works very well but I can't get RTTY feature to work. My TU is a Hal DXP38 via a com 1. I have NO RX or TX. So I guess DX4WIN does not support the DXP38. There is not much in the docs or in the setup to go by. The only choice is none or regular. I should have ordered a regular tu unit. Who makes them? :) Wayne N2WK
