Re: [Dx4win] Can't edit a call

2014-04-17 Thread Dick Flanagan
Just a note on the callsign change requirement: there have been a few
times I have been thankful for the quiet little "are you sure you want
to do this?" prompt when changing a callsign. Everything else may just
be noise, but the callsign is primary. That is why I never let that
particular little feature bother me.

As for migrating that particular feature to contesting loggers like
WriteLog, I don't think that particular idea would get very far.
Contesting loggers are built for speed where people count keystrokes and
bit rates. Anything that would add to either one would be frowned upon.

Just my rarely humble opinion...

Like you I made mistakes in my WriteLog CQWWDX SSB log. Think I copied OK
but typed call wrong. But was surprised how many DX stations copied me
wrong. Some of the big gun DX stations have such a fast rate it's no
surprise they bust calls.

Howdy!

Got my UBN report from CQWW SSB. Trying to edit a handful of busted calls
that showed up in the report, so they show correctly in DX4WIN. The first
couple went just as expected.

Then I get to EZ7ZK which I somehow fat-fingered into the log instead of the
correct EC7ZK. I change the EZ to EC and tab over to verify that correct
country, zone, etc., is filled in, but when I hit enter to save the changes
nothing happens. Once again, all other edits work just fine. What am I
missing on this particular QSO?

Thanks!

If you press f10 you can update the qso data... Maybe you find it useful
