Re: [Dx4win] DX4WIN and Callsign Lookups

2018-05-19 Thread Tim moore
Since the update to 9.x, I now always have to hit "update QSO" a second
time... then hit F10 and then save again. That's a known bug.

[Dx4win] DX4WIN and Callsign Lookups

2018-05-19 Thread w3khg
With the help of K4TK, Tim and K9EL, John the QRZ Online XML is compiling the
name and grid into the fields of the dx4win qso window however all dx qth's are
not when pressing the UPDATE QSO button in the Callsign/Manager Lookup Window.

Does the QSO Lookup F3 button do anything if you only have QRZ.com
website configured? Or does it require a CDROM copy to function? 73, Byron

No, it requires data from the CDROM. No matter what lookup system
you're using, if the Callsign/Mgr Lookup (F3) window is open, typing
ENTER in that window (when it has focus) will do a QRZ.COM lookup,
assuming DX4WIN is configured properly (see the QRZ application note I
wrote at http://dx4win.ad1c.us)

I have asked Paul several times to add QRZ.COM lookup via the XML
interface (for subscribers), which could replace the local callbook
lookup (i.e. a single F3 would do the lookup and populate the
Callsign/Mgr Lookup window, no ENTER needed). Maybe if enough people
ask for this, it may happen some day.
