Hi George, Did the new 7600 rigfiles I sended you yesterday work? Guy; I got the 7600 talking to my computer through the USB connection. The packet clicks work fine to change the frequency and mode. Now I'm trying to get MMTTY working with this set up. I can receive RTTY fine but cannot send AFSK to the 7600 using the MMTTY program. MMTTY apparently does not like the virtual Com port assigned by the Icom driver which is Com7. I also have two sound cards in my computer so I suspect this may be my problem. By the way I also have the same problem with PSK31 DigiPan. It receives fine but no audio from the computer to the 7600 in transmit. I guess this USB/7600 stuff is kinda new and I'm blazing a trail. Thanks for your help. [Dx4win] ICOM IC-7600 DX4WIN support?
I'd like to get my IC-7600 going with my DX4WIN version 7 going. The Icom IC-7600 is not one of the choices in the radio preferences.. Is there a sub? Thanks. George, I don't know if this is really the right way, but it worked for me... In the DX4Win main window, go to File|Databases, then select Radios. In the box that appears, select Icom 756 Pro III, from the Radio model drop-down list. Then from the Radio menu, select Copy. The name in the box will change to ICOM 756 Pro III. Edit this name to read ICOM 7600. (Be sure to delete the from the beginning of the name.) Now, in the Default Address box, change the 6E to 7A. Don't change anything else. Finally, select the File menu and click on Save Changes and Exit. Now you will have the IC-7600 as a radio choice in the Preferences dialog. All I had to do was select that and everything worked! I hope you are enjoying your IC-7600 as much as I am. What a great radio, especially on CW.
