I wasn't' s looking at the upper end of the mode selections when logging a QSO but rather moving down to the F8 selections. The FT8 was in the upper part of the selections apparently because that's what I choose most often? Thanks to everyone that responded to my problem which was me, the problem, not DX4WIN. No problem with DX4WIN.
