Re: [Dx4win] Format for FT8 mode Input in ADIF file for TQSL?
One way to solve the Mode length problem is to use a 3 character mode like TOR. Then when you edit the ADIF file you can do a mass replace of TOR with FT8. I did a similar action for MSK144. I hope the Ver 9 DX4WIN has some sort of editable file for modes, much like that used by TQSL. Re: [Dx4win] Format for FT8 mode Input in ADIF file for TQSL?
Hello Paul, Yes, there are only three characters in FT8, so you need to change all of those MODE:4 to MODE:3. You won't have to fuss with this when the new version comes out :-) 73, Mike W0VTT -Original Message- From: dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net [mailto:dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net] On Behalf Of Paul Ferguson Sent: Monday, 14 August, 2017 17:22 To: dx4win@mailman.qth.net Subject: [Dx4win] Format for FT8 mode Input in ADIF file for TQSL? I used DX4WIN LOTW > Export to LOTW. Most of the QSOs in this batch were FT8 mode. I then edited the LOTW ADIF formatted file to indicate FT8 mode on all FT8 QSOs. I noticed the file entry for a JT65 QSO mode was "JT65" so I tried "FT8" on FT8 QSOs. When I use the TQSL V2.3.1 with Configuration data V11.1, it says "Invalid MODE (FT8)" on the first line containing the new mode. Is it the "MODE:4" that is incorrect? 73, Paul K5ESW __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
Re: [Dx4win] Format for FT8 mode Input in ADIF file for TQSL?
Hi Paul, Yes, "MODE:4" is incorrect. In the ADIF format, the number indicates the number of characters in the mode name. So JT65 was 4 and FT8 should be 3, as in "MODE:3>FT8". 73, Bud N7CW On Mon, Aug 14, 2017 at 3:21 PM, Paul Fergusonwrote: > I used DX4WIN LOTW > Export to LOTW.
