[Dx4win] Import Abort - Duplicate QSO's
When importing the 7 Area QSO Party ADIF log the import aborts because of duplicate QSO's. But, I worked several stations on the county lines. Example: K7ZX was ORLAN and ORLNN Logged as 2 QSO's. I have about 6 stations with 2 QSO's each on the same band. County Lines... What to do... Could change the calls in the ADIF file and then change em back... Too much chance for errors... Re: [Dx4win] Changing band/mode Real-Time in QSO Windows
Hi Mel To understand the problem, try the following : 1) Stop Radio 2) In QSO Window Press F9 3) Enter a callsign e.g. VE2DC (with band/mode = 160CW) 4) Now, in QSO Windows, change band/mode to 10SSB The black Box in Country window should now jump to 10CW But the Country Windows is no refreshed ! I have been playing around with the Entry fields in the QSO windows ... and some generates an event that refreshes the Country window, others do not. e.g changing the date, call, prefix generates an update event, but the Mode and Band selections do not (as they should). Re: [Dx4win] Import Abort - Duplicate QSO's
I've run into the same issue with grids on VHF with an older version... I just changed the times so they are a couple of minutes apart. I guess Paul hasn't fixed this yet. Dupes should also check County/Grid, Sounds like it might be fairly easy to fix... unless time is the primary key of his in-memory file. Maybe Paul could sneak this in ver 8.04. Re: [Dx4win] Import Abort - Duplicate QSO's
Hi Jim, Grid boundaries are allowed, but the rules are a bit excessive (my opinion). See http://www.arrl.org/files/file/Awards%20Application%20Forms/VUCCRULE1a.pdf . I did this a couple times last summer and actually posted little movies of my set up and zooming in to the GPS showing the XX.000 display. Of course, by the time you set up, the GPS location is different, but that's just me whining. Re: [Dx4win] Import Abort - Duplicate QSO's
OK, I was thinking of a VHF contest (which is really the only time log import would become an issue), and did find this rule, which would seem to prohibit grid-line operation in all ARRL VHF contests (50 MHz and above): http://www.arrl.org/general-rules-for-arrl-contests-on-bands-above-50-mhz 1.11.A station located precisely on a dividing line between grid squares must select only one as the location for exchange purposes. A different grid-square multiplier cannot be given without moving the complete station (including antennas) at least 100 meters. So I stand by my claim that although Paul could make the change (check VUCC grid when importing a possible duplicate QSO), it probably isn't necessary. 73 - Jim AD1C On Sun, May 2, 2010 at 11:19 AM, Bud Semon N7CW n...@cableone.net wrote: Grid boundaries are allowed, but the rules are a bit excessive (my opinion). New features and bug fixes in 8.04 Awards · Not all previous submissions were included when doing a new submission COM ports · Increased the range of COM port numbers from 8 to 32 CW keyboard · Not installing the LPT driver no longer hangs the CW signal · When adding in real-time with Special Keys for CW enabled, the Esc will only empty the CW buffer and no longer stops adding QSOs. A new menu option was added to do this. Databases · Jim, AD1C, has updated a number of databases like the country database, awards database etc; for the details see http://dx4win.ad1c.us/data.htm Import/Export · Added frequency in MHz Packet · Saving Putout Window columns ignored last column · New award band color in spotting window only used when the band has its own award QSL Labels · Better test to go to new label if Pse/Tnx did not change or is not present · We could clear too many labels when removing duplicate QSLs PSK31 · An updated pskcore dll no longer requires the installation of the C runtime library (thanks Dave, AA6YQ) QSOs · Allow special characters and characters with accents for name and QTH in multiple QSO operations · Allow a dash ('-') when searching in a list of values (pressing F1 in prefix field, award value etc.) · Multiple QSO operations change QSL method now ignores confirmation / label status · Fixed problem with band / mode box in summary windows not always following the QSO Window settings Radios · Added support for a transverter (single band or all bands) Reports · Double click in listing report could set incorrect filter settings -- Jim Reisert AD1C, jjreis...@alum.mit.edu, http://www.ad1c.us __ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Dx4win@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
[Dx4win] Did you operate the 7-Land/Indiana/New England QSO parties?
I've been asked to add support for the three above-mentioned QSO parties to the ADIF to DXQ program. My plan is to process all three at the same time. If someone used WriteLog or another contest logging program (besides N1MM) to log this contest, please get in touch with me. I might need your ADIF log to debug the conversion. I might add in MARAC also, but I need to see how complicated this special case is going to be. If you need this, let me know. Is it possible to remove this note in all QSOs in a simple maner? Sometimes I work without the computor connected to the rig. N1MM always keep track of the frequency and needs to have one to work. Re: [Dx4win] rx frequency in note for this qso field
It sounds like N1MM exports both the FREQ and FREQ_RX fields, even when the QSO is simplex (i.e. the latter is not needed). You would have to go into the ADIF file, find all the FREQ_RX fields (both name and value) and completely delete them. May not be so easy. I'll see if I can add this to ADIF to DXQ before the next release. Please send me your .ADIF file to test with. 73 - Jim AD1C On 5/2/2010 3:42 PM, Mel SM0MPV wrote: Greetings to you all, When I import an ADIF file from N1MM after a contes, I always get the frequency in it's field but also rx frequency in the note for this qso field.
