RE: [Dx4win] How to change QSL Date field
Hi again Alain. When I did my initial test I didn't use the F8 and the QSL date field, I set up a filter with the Selection Editor with a date range. I have since tried doing a F8 search using a QSL date without success. Talking with John ZL1BYZ we think the count/matches resulting from the search are all the QSLs in the log from the search date. If I search using the latest QSL/print date its correct but not using an older QSL date. Do a test F8 search of a previous QSL date, maybe a single QSL from years ago and see what your count is? Something funny is going on when we search using the QSL date, but what? This subject may have been discussed before but I cant find it. I filter (F8) QSO with QSL Date field = 01/10/2008, I set print flags to Y and I print the labels. The QSL Date field become 05/11/2008. It's OK. When I use a filter (F8) with QSL Date field = 05/11/2008 I can find these QSO. It's OK. But, very strange, when I filter (F8) with QSL Date field = 01/10/2008 I find these QSO too. It's like if Dx4Win save all the dates when labels was printed even if only one date (of course) is in the QSL Date field (I test it with three differents dates). Anybody can reproduce that or it's only in my log ? 73 Alain, F5LIW REF 41548 - 10-X # 50408 Grid : JN27oe ___ Dx4win mailing list Dx4win@mailman.qth.net http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win
RE: [Dx4win] Filter on QSO date (bug ?)
Hi Paul, We seem to be talking about two different issues. To cut the long story short. How do we search a single QSL date (not the QSO date)? Your suggestions only works for a QSO search. [Dx4win] Set Name and QTH
Hi Just upgrading from 703 to 804v8. I see from the archives OH6CT Olli has asked this same question but I cant see any answer. The bulk of my QSOs in version 703 have the Name and QTH in the Notes for this Call window, separated by a space. The question is how do I get DX4Win to recognise a space to populate the name to the new name window and the QTH to the new QTH window using the Multiple QSO Operation|Set Name and QTH? Jim's application notes refer to the on-line help to see exactly what Dx4Win will do but I can't find them. I'm sure the answer is staring at me! Is there a way to print QSL labels in the sequence that the confirmation is entered (F2)? Hi Dick, sorry if I jumped on the thread too late, but have you looked at Jim's Application note 15 to make a custom filter for the .csv file? I did it the other week for a .xls file and it work out fine, mind you it was only the bare bones QSO info. One is the ACLog format and the other says ADIF. But, I get the same result with either file I use. Re: [Dx4win] ADIF export
Thanks Kostas. A little back ground, I've been maintaining the ZM90DX log using HRD which accept the Operator and My_IOTA fields, ZM90DX used a number of operators from different IOTAs and we have Charles M0OXO as our QSL manager, the IOTA and Operator is required for the QSL cards. Unfortunately a large number of QSL cards are arriving at our ZL Bureau so rather than on sending them I elected to process the request and just e-mail M0OXO the resulting file. HRD is so painfully slow, I'll import the log (60k QSOs) into a DX4WIN log for QSL processing, the Operator Field will become the QSO Notes and IOTA a Group in DX4WIN. Yes, I can filter by Group (IOTA) and export the ADIF, then add the Group (IOTA) using ADIF Master, do the same for each Group and merge the ADIF files. An other option is to generate a .csv file from the Logbook Report Generator which can have all the required fields then convert the .csv to ADIF. As the QSLing commitment will be on going for years I was looking for a ONE STEP process. Re: [Dx4win] Print details on QSO labels
Hi Joe, funny I was going to mention start at 1 leaving 000 for All QSO but didn't want to confuse the issue. One small issue with DX4Win is you cant export/import the group name with the ADIF, 1 of the calls I manage we have a QSL manager and he needs to print the operator's call on the QSL card. Each operator's log I edit the OPERATOR field to NOTES and delete all fields that populate the NOTES FOR THIS QSO in Dx4win like STX, RX FREQUENCY. I now have just the operators call in the notes field and when I export the combined logs to our manager I just edit the export adif from NOTES back to OPERATOR.
