[e-gold-list] Re: Price of Gold and the WTC

2001-09-15 Thread one2know

Make no mistake, there WAS a rush on gold Tuesday. Little ol' me ran out
and purchased 40 eagles and 20 maple leaves (60 ounces). It is
inconceivable that I was the only one. Early in the day spot went to
$289 and then settled a bit to $285 about the time I locked in my buy. I
ended up paying $315 per coin as the spread was now much more than it
had been Monday. Wednesday's spot was back down to a little over $275
and don't you think I felt just a little dumbfounded, I'm sure the
dealer's spread was still higher but I wouldn't be surprised that it has
also been put back in place. Absolutely confident that supply and demand
was set on it's heels for a time, I was totally awed at the market
control I observed on Wed.

No doubt, many of the rushers decided we may have been foolish to buy
that day, and many may feel a little less comfortable with the metal
itself, which will act to hold down the price further. Myself, I think I
made a fairly smart move (should've waited till Wed.), but I'm noting
that someone(?) with INCREDIBLE power is watching closely and reacting
quickly to hold this metal under the radar.

Dan

Why buyings those coins instead of accumulating e-gold and

Dan, physical coins rock! I wish I had that stash! But, that's
about $20,000 bucks right?

You could have just wired $20,000 bucks to Coconutgold, or any other
fine e-gold exchange provider, and got 60 ounces of e-gold at a much
more reasonable spread.

Something to consider!
