ESA’s Education and Diversity Programs office offers a variety of programs to increase the diversity of the ecology-related professions and to improve the quality of ecology education. The Diversity Programs Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing education programs that will increase diversity in the field of ecology in general, and specifically, for supporting and advancing the Strategies for Ecology Education, Diversity and Sustainability (SEEDS) program which nurtures minority undergraduate students along the ecology career pathway. Core program areas include undergraduate research fellowships, ecological field trips, grants to SEEDS chapters, annual leadership meetings and scholarships to the ESA Annual Meeting. This is a junior level position for candidates with at least 1 year of work experience interested in developing a professional career in education program development and implementation.
