Re: [Ekiga-devel-list] 3.2.0 Win32
Michael Cronenworth wrote: I've made an initial build of 3.2.0. It's just like my previous trunk build. It will not register and crashes on exit. VFW support is still not visible even though ptlib is built with VFW enabled. I had to perform just two new patches to get it to build. The PTimeParse issue is still around... one of these days I'll take time to figure it out. I'm attaching the patches. The ptlib patch is to move the IPv6 define around another struct since MinGW doesn't have the IPv6 include headers. The ekiga patch is to let the icon file be found since it was moved. Thanks, both patches are checked in, in both trunk and branch! -- Eugen ___ Ekiga-devel-list mailing list Ekiga-devel-list@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/ekiga-devel-list
[Ekiga-devel-list] Ekiga 3 on FreeBSD
Hi, I would like to try get Ekiga 3 running on FreeBSD with the hope of getting a working port together. I have got it sort of working. I'm using Ekiga 3.0.2, Opal 3.4.4, and Ptlib 2.4.4 (which is already ported). The problem I'm having is that it core dumps when I try to place a call. GDB output is pasted below. Any ideas? GNOME org would def be one. A couple of other ones that comes to mind would be XIPH if it was related to one of their codecs such as speex/celt/theora etc. The other would be gstreamer if someone wanted to move forward the gstreamer support in ekiga. You'd just need an appropriate mentor. What projects do we propose ? Who is ready to mentor ? Regarding projects, I would like to propose the two at http://blogs.gnome.org/simos/2008/08/10/features-for-the-killer-voip-app/ 1. Add a general wizard for users that want to configure their own SIP provider. 2. Add UPNP support. I think the main aim for additional project ideas would be to make Ekiga even more usable to Linux users (using Ubuntu, Fedora, etc). In addition, Linux netbooks tend to have Skype shipped as default. It would be beneficial to have the option to use Ekiga instead, and have users ask for Ekiga. I do not know of other UI and usability improvements that can be done. Are there any other suggestions? Regarding mentors, they need to register at the relevant organisation following the steps at http://socghop.appspot.com/document/show/program/google/gsoc2009/userguide#depth_mentapply Simos ___ Ekiga-devel-list mailing list Ekiga-devel-list@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/ekiga-devel-list
