On your machne for some reason it found or proposed mydocs/ekiga Moreover the uninstall understood that the install dir is mydocs. I then would think about wrong registry reading from installer/uninstaller 2010/2/14 Stan scc1...@yahoo.com Installing any program in MyDocs is unconventional, and I recommend against it. ALL programs in WinXP should be installed in the Program Files directory. The reason is simple. If a program behaves badly from within the Program Files directory, it can only damage itself and other programs, which can be easily downloaded and installed again. OTOH, if a program behaves badly within My Documents it can do irreparable damage to important data files, photos, etc. Please change the install script to default to the Program Files directory. [Ekiga-devel-list] [Static build] Anyone for a Static 3.2 ?
Hi , sorry if this sound again really as a repeated request. You could say that I could do this by myself , I would love to but the answer is that I'm still missing Time and knowledge for doing this. I'm facing a lot of cases ( family friends ) who have old or unsupported distro such as mandriva 2007.0 and are still using Ekiga 2.0X . There is probably a reason why it does not load in that case. Probably a compilation flag. I confirm we had an extensive testing of the Win32 version from Michael 3.02 ( great work BTW ! ) and my ov511 worked only in WDM mode , No DirectX listed , but the previous Mathias ones showed only Directx. Maybe it's a problem to compile both ? With michael 3.02 WDM version I couldn't achieve more than 10 fps and 30 in directX mode with previous version.
