[Ekiga-list] Feature request

2013-02-22 Thread Bret Busby

Hello.

I do not know whether this is the correct place to make this feature
request, but I will ask, anyway.

In Ekiga, when I search the Ekiga.net directory for a name, for example,
busby, it returns a list of (11) people with the string busby in our
names (I say Our, as I am included).

But, in the window in which the names are listed, it does not include
locations.

Similarly, if I search using the string New Zealand, it returns only a
name that includes the string New Zealand within the name.

In Skype, in the personal profile, it can include Mobile Phone Number,
Country, City, and Language.

Is it possible to include, in the Personal Data screen in Ekiga, boxes
to enter, in addition to Full name, also, Locality (allowing for town,
and districts, in addition to cities/suburbs, and, an abbreviation for
state/province), Country, and Language, and, possibly, timezone (in
terms of UTC+/-hhmm), and, for this information to be displayed in the
Contacts, and Address Book Search results, windows, in a format like

Full name...Language...Locality...Country...Timezone
?

Once again, I do not know whether this is already included in the latest
version of Ekiga, but, if not, it could be useful, and, could avoid
people calling other people at incovenient times (provided people enter,
and, use, the Timezone values).

If it is already included in the latest vesion of Ekiga, then I
apologise for making the request without that knowledge.

As stated previously, my version number of Ekiga is 3.2.7.

Thank you in anticipation.

It is a useful feature I think. It was available once upon the time,
but now it is not available anymore. As ekiga is now stable and major
bugs have been fixed, we can think about this enhancement too.

I think it should not be a config flag : by default, it should stop the

I wanted to try to add id myself I and I found that there is a call to reset

I would like to ask the developers if there is an easy point in the code that

I think there is also a standard DBUS call for that, but I'm not sure
about that.

It's already working, as part of gnome-session support since 20090129.

I understand.
Either it is just to see what is just to show the default account
subscribed, and in this case that would mean just display, for example
in the dialpad panel a line with Default subsc. account : MyAccount.
Either it is a way of choosing with what account you want to call and in
that case it could be a dropdown list wiht the default one per default,
still in the dialpad view.

But I admit I didn't clearly understand what was the request at first
mail.

Great :)
I'm waiting to document this...

ZRTP, Presence and Windows installer, if all that comes together, what a
huge improvment it will be for Ekiga!

Yannick

Great! ;-)

That way VoIP gets more and more attraction even from people who didn't
consider using VoIP before! ;-)

[Ekiga-list] Feature request: ZRTP support

2007-02-26 Thread Rene Bartsch

Hi,

could you please add ZRTP support to Ekiga?

There is a SDK at http://zfoneproject.com/prod_sdk.html.
But I don't know which license will be available for OSS projects.

Does Ekiga use GNU ccRTP or is RTP function included in OPAL or PWLIB?

It is included in PWLIB.

I think Craig is working on SRTP / ZRTP support for OPAL.

The network stack is PWLIB/OPAL/EKIGA. I don't know exactly where RTP
is, but the basic socket abstraction is in pwlib and the codecs in opal.
