This is really interesting. First, move /usr/lib/opal-3.6.2/codecs/video/h264_video_pwplugin_helper to another directory, so that it would b=not be found, and restart ekiga -d 4. Hello, I have ekiga from the current Debian unstable (it's version 2.0.3). One day I had to restart my computer and since then ekiga does not start anymore. That means that starting ekiga in a console does not output anything, does not show a GUI but is also not terminating, so actually it is running. "ekiga -d 6" output: 2007/02/11 12:47:30.217 0:00.463ekiga Detected audio plugins: ALSA 2007/02/11 12:47:30.218 0:00.464ekiga Detected video plugins: Picture,V4L 2007/02/11 12:47:30.218 0:00.464ekiga Detected audio plugins: ALSA 2007/02/11 12:47:30.218 0:00.464ekiga Detected video plugins: Picture,V4L 2007/02/11 12:47:30.260 0:00.506ekiga Detected the following audio input devices: Intel 82801DB-ICH4,Default with plugin ALSA 2007/02/11 12:47:30.260 0:00.506ekiga Detected the following audio output devices: Intel 82801DB-ICH4,Default with plugin ALSA 2007/02/11 12:47:30.260 0:00.506ekiga Detected the following video input devices: No device found with plugin V4L 2007/02/11 12:47:30.261 0:00.507ekiga Detected the following audio input devices: Intel 82801DB-ICH4,Default with plugin ALSA 2007/02/11 12:47:30.261 0:00.507ekiga Detected the following audio output devices: Intel 82801DB-ICH4,Default with plugin ALSA 2007/02/11 12:47:30.261 0:00.507ekiga Detected the following video input devices: No device found with plugin V4L 2007/02/11 12:47:30.303 0:00.549ekiga AVAHI Failed to create client: Daemon not running Killed that seems to be fine. I tried ekiga-config-tool --clean but this did not help. Using another user account (e.g. a new create one) ekiga is running perfectly. Does anybody has an idea what's happening here and how to fix it? I would be happy not to create a new user account and migrating all my settings to the new one.
