[Elecraft] Fwd: KAT500 1.67 Firmware Causing sporadic re-tuning
I found Wayne Burdick's note from 2/21/14. I have not set the tuner up properly to take advantage of the 1.63 firmware. I think this should solve my problem once I carry out these steps. Sorry for the bandwidth. 73 de Brian W3BW *Brian F. Wruble, C.F.A. -- Forwarded message -- From: Brian F. I had understood that the new version 1.67 was supposed to take care of that. It seems to have made everything much worse. On pretty much all bands, using a variety of antennas, the KAT500 seems to start re-tuning after everything was perfectly well tuned. It happens in the middle of transmissions. Any idea what is going on here? Tnx es 73 de Brian W3BW *Brian F. Re: [Elecraft] [KX3] PX3
Yeah! That's actually what got me - I saw the USB connector and asked Oh, is the SVGA INCLUDED in the PX3? and was told Yes. So, to clarify - out of the box standard, the PX3 has a USB input, but does NOT have an SVGA interface. Is that correct? Thanks; and sorry for the confusion! Re: [Elecraft] K3 case
I use two of these HF cases. One hold the K3 and mic, the other holds the P3, Powerwerx power supply, the cables, and manuals. This will be the fourth field day that they come out of the shack in this configuration. (Don't forget to remove the little metal thing that holds the removable pallate) I don't think they would be strong enough for shipping around the world, but for carrying the rig around and preventing scratches or other damage, they work fine. 73, Terry, WB4JFI -Original Message- From: Richard Sent: Tuesday, June 10, 2014 9:41 PM To: Elecraft@mailman.qth.net Subject: [Elecraft] K3 case Dick, I use a case from Harbor Freight: Item #69315 They are about 20-$25 depending on whether you have a 20 or 25% coupon or not. [Elecraft] Announcing The Elecraft KPA500 Amplifier and KAT500 Tuner book by KE7X
The Elecraft KPA500 Amplifier and KAT500 Tuner continues the successful approach of The Elecraft K3: Design, Configuration, and Operation to explain the operation of the KPA500 amplifier and KAT500 automatic tuner. Together with the K3, these make up the Elecraft K-Line. With the new components comprising the K-Line come many questions about how to interconnect them. This book provides a convenient reference to help the user with their new K-Line. Like the K3 and KX3 books, readers will find many diagrams, schematics, and visual aids for understanding the K-Line. You'll find text expanding on what Elecraft has put into the K3, KPA500, and KAT500 Owner's Manuals for those of you who like to learn by reading, and you will find in each section exercises to help you verify your understanding by experimentation. Non-Elecraft transceiver owners will find useful information to allow them to use the KPA500 and KAT500 also. See www.ke7x.comhttp://www.ke7x.com for a full table of contents and sample text. There is also a short K-Line Introduction and Set-Up Guide available for downloading. Paper, spiral bound copies of this (and KE7X's other books for the K3 and KX3) are now exclusively available from Elecraft. You will find them on the Elecraft order page (www.elecraft.com/elecraft_prod_list.htmhttp://www.elecraft.com/elecraft_prod_list.htm). Electronic PDF versions of all three books will continue to be available from www.ke7x.comhttp://www.ke7x.com. 73 all, Fred KE7X __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com

Re: [Elecraft] [KX3] PX3
Correction: the current plan is for the PX3's video output to be compatible with the P3's SVGA option, which means analog video, but with a miniature video connector that is TBD. It may be possible for us to do digital video in the future, but there is no current plan to support this.
