[Elecraft] N6TV to the Rescue Part 2
My badI thought I had checked my post and I realized I was not clear. I still have my K3s and P3 station along with the KPA-1500. The "S" box interlaces all the radios, K3s and KPA1500 along with the SteppIR.. So let me clarify... Re: [Elecraft] MC-60A - K4 option request...
OK, yes - put it on the "to do" list... I have had the "same" issue with my KX3. Adjusting the TX EQ, CMP, and Mike gain. See: https://observer.wunderwood.org/2015/09/09/transmit-audio-and-compression-with-the-elecraft-kx3/ OK, I would like to see for the K4, a built-in APP that will adjust all three by (speaking the phonetic alphabet ?? or other) and specifying wide, normal, or DX. Well, I can dream. I have a couple of different headsets and even from Heil, they all have different elements. Need different settings. How nice (for Field Day for example) to be able to sit down in front of the radio and have the radio, tune to your voice... It must be possible??? 73, steve WB3LGC On 4/2/21 5:21 PM, Brian Denley wrote: That mic has a built in preamp, even though it is a dynamic mic. Re: [Elecraft] N6TV to the rescue
I can not overstate how great Bob N6TV is to work with--I asked him to create some complex stuff using S-Box and Y-boxes, he provided schematics, hookup charts, and cables labeled at both ends for EVERYTHING, and then spent more hours explaing everything to me. Just fantastic! If I had seen his QSOToday presentation on Serial Ports years ago, it would have saved me many hours of frustration learning his tips piecemeal over the years one at a time. Also, I have to give K6KR a shout for suggesting Gearmo port splitters to me years ago--still in daily service here with zero hassle. 73 Eric WD6DBM On Thu, Apr 1, 2021, 4:10 AM wrote: > N6TV is a very knowledge guy and he is very generous with his time. Re: [Elecraft] MC-60A
In the menu you will need to set MIC SEL to FP.L You can toggle it by pushing the #1 key and turn the Bias off in the same menu by toggling with the #2 Key. If you have the Fred Cady book a whole list of parameters for different Microphones are listed on Page 279. Ed..
