Good Evening, Twenty meters was better than last week though it had some QSB and a few storms. Forty meters had faster QSB with more local storms. The less energetic sun gave us a chance. The hot spell peaked a few hours ago. The forecast is for cooler days in the 80s. Fire danger is high except near the ocean. Morning fog keeps lower elevation areas moist and the air cleaner. [Elecraft] KX3/PX3 encoders.
Hello List Encoders in both my KX3 and PX3 have become very noisey after being idle for a few months. The PX3 is on verge of total failure. I know the KX3 had an encoder upgrade a while back and that appears to be an easy process to effect replacement. For the PX3 I can find no information on the replacement process. Has anyone on the list perform the replacement activity?
