[Elecraft] Elecraft CW Net Report

2023-03-26 Thread kevin via Elecraft

Good Evening,

Twenty meters had moderate QSB with light noise.  Forty meters was
noisy with deep QSB.  At first it was noisy, but as the net progressed
it lessened.  California is getting ready for the next series of
storms.  Some moved through here yesterday and this morning with more
tomorrow.  More snow, good thing I brought in more wood.

K6XK - Roy - IA

[Elecraft] Elecraft 80M SSB Net Report

2023-03-26 Thread Dave New, N8SBE
3786 kHz (we moved up 2 kHz to avoid another ongoing QSO at 3783 kHz
(sorry if we missed you due to the frequency change), 9PM ET Sunday
(0100Z Monday).

Thanks to the following check ins (w) and relays (rel):

   Call State Radio/Amp Name
1 N8SBE MIK3s/KPA500Dave (w),(op)
2 WB9JNZILFTdx101d/KPA1500 Eric (rel),(w)
3 K8NU OHK4D/Mercury IIIs Carl (rel),(w)

Rough conditions on 80M tonight with plenty of lightning QRN. Thanks to
the relays, Eric WB9JNZ and Carl K8NU. We did see 3 other stations log
into Netlogger, but they couldn't hear us, except Tim, WY3T in FL could
hear Carl faintly over S9+15db QRN.

Hope to see you next week, and tell your friends!

73,

-- Dave, N8SBE

[Elecraft] Elecraft 80M SSB Net Announcement

2023-03-26 Thread Dave New, N8SBE
Please join us on 3784 kHz (NOTE THE NEW FREQUENCY), 9PM ET Sunday
(0100Z Monday). Note that the net stays on the same local time, when we
switch back and forth to/from Daylight time, so the UTC time changes,
but not the local time.

Now that we have moved into Daylight time and have longer daylight
hours, 80M may not be as strong as during the winter.

Your net control this week will be Dave, N8SBE, although I've had
intermittent antenna issues at high power the last few weeks. This
seems to be an 80M only issue, for some reason. If I continue to have
issues this evening, please listen for Eric, WB9JNZ, who did a stellar
job a few weeks ago of taking over as NCS after my hi-power station went
down.

This week we had some warmer weather, with a few sunny days with high
temps in the 40's and 50's.

Hope to see you this evening on the net.

73,

-- Dave, N8SBE
