[Elecraft] Elecraft CW Net Announcement
Good Evening, It was a cool week, until Wednesday. Now temperatures are flirting with triple digits. Foxgloves and fireweed are both in bloom. Raspberries are still red, not yet ready. Salmon-berries are ripe but I'm not a fan. Thimble-berries will be ready in a few weeks. The sun is not quiet. There are three large sunspot groups, ranging from moderately active to C class flares. A 'mild' CME hit the earth yesterday. It's a safe bet there will be QRN and QSB tomorrow. Summer storms will bring rain and static. Please join us on (or near): 14050 kHz at 2200z Sunday (3 PM PDT Sunday) 7047 kHz at z Monday (5 PM PDT Sunday) 73, Kevin. KD5ONS - It was a quiet morning, the town covered over with darkness and at ease in bed. Summer gathered in the weather, the wind had the proper touch, the breathing of the world was long and warm and slow. You had only to rise, lean from your window, and know that this indeed was the first real time of freedom and living, this was the first morning of summer. https://www.quantamagazine.org/the-simple-geometry-that-predicts-molecular-mosaics-20230621/ __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com

Don't forget it is also used for the W2 wattmeters... 73, and thanks, Dave (NK7Z) https://www.nk7z.net ARRL Volunteer Examiner ARRL Technical Specialist, RFI ARRL Asst. [Elecraft] KX3 2 meter error code
I started getting an error code; d=005, when switching to the 2 meter KX3 Xverter. I can clear the error and all seems to work OK on 2meters. But after cycling the on/off power, the error returns… Any thoughts on what this means? I could not find any info in the manual. [Elecraft] Serial Get of KX3 NR Icon Status
I have a KX3 and use a computer to control the radio, especially when using digital modes. From the Elecraft K3S/K3/KX3/KX2 Programmer’s Reference I was able to identify and test the commands for turning Noise Reduction NR on and off (SWH19). I also identified and tested the commands for setting and getting the value for the level of noise reduction (MN143). I cannot identify a command sequence for programmatically determining the current state of NR (on/off). I can get the state of NB and NTCH icons. Can someone point out what I have missed? -- Mark Johnson - WB8SFY __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com
Re: [Elecraft] Is KX3 going obsolete soon?
I think you are most likely wrong about that. Elecraft is quite obviously paring down their line of products and the lower end of the scale is just about gone. Re: [Elecraft] Is KX3 going obsolete soon?
My comments earlier are based on a brief chat with Eric at Friedrichshafen. I’m reasonably convinced the KX3 will still be a part of our future. Re: [Elecraft] Is KX3 going obsolete soon?
I don’t think the KX3 is going obsolete and I believe any idea of a KX3+, KX3 v2 or even a KX4, a flight of fantasy.
