[Elecraft] Elecraft CW Net Report
Good Evening, QSB was slow on both bands. Fairly deep too: S1 to S7 or S2 to S6. There were a few thunderstorms, none of them very loud. Copy was mostly good. It was fun digging into the noise. On 14050.5 kHz at 2200z: W0CZ - Ken - ND K6XK - Roy - IA K0DTJ - Brian - CA AB9V - Mike - IN K4JPN - Steve - GA W8OV - Dave - TX On 7047.5 kHz at z: K0DTJ - Brian - CA K6PJV - Dale - CA WM5F - Dwight - ID Until next week 73, Kevin. KD5ONS - Crossing the lawn that morning, Douglas Spaulding broke a spider web with his face. A single invisible line on the air touched his brow and snapped without a sound. So, with the subtlest of incidents, he knew that this day was going to be different. It would be different also, because, as his father explained, driving Douglas and his ten-year-old brother Tom out of town toward the country, there were some days compounded completely of odor, nothing but the world blowing in one nostril and out the other. And some days, he went on, were days of hearing every trump and trill of the universe. Some days were good for tasting and some for touching. And some days were good for all the senses at once. This day now, he nodded, smelled as if a great and nameless orchard had grown up overnight beyond the hills to fill the entire visible land with its warm freshness. The air felt like rain, but there were no clouds. Momentarily, a stranger might laugh off in the woods, but there was silence. __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com
Re: [Elecraft] [Elecraft-K4] Elecraft 80M SSB Net Announcement
Alan, Yes, 80M being what it is even at 9PM in the evening here in Michigan. I'm afraid so. If anyone would care to start up a west coast net later in the evening, they are perfectly welcome to. Note that there are 20M and 40M nets earlier in the day. In particular the 20M net gets check ins from both coasts, and sometimes from Great Britain and New Zealand, depending on conditions. See this post from Carl, K8NU, regarding the SSB Nets and the weekly Zoom meeting: https://groups.io/g/Elecraft-K4/message/25119 73, -- Dave, N8SBE On 2023-07-16 21:39, Alan AD6E wrote: Must be an east coast local net. 0100Z is mid-afternoon here. 73, Alan AD6E / KH6TU On Sun, Jul 16, 2023 at 1:44 PM Dave New - N8SBE wrote: Please join us on 3784 kHz (NOTE THE NEW FREQUENCY), 9PM ET Sunday (0100Z Monday). We had a couple of new check ins this week, and it was particularly good to hear from Gary in Utica, MI on his early 60's Central Electronics 200V - sounding good, Gary! Re: [Elecraft] KPA500 PA DISS fault
I had the same problem about a year ago. It's a problem with the output PIN diode switch. There will be a burned toroid in the output switch circuit. I sent mine back for repair. It's been working fine since.Good luck,Glenn WB5TUF Original message From: Rajiv Dewan Date: 7/16/23 08:45 (GMT-06:00) To: elecraft@mailman.qth.net Subject: [Elecraft] KPA500 PA DISS fault Hello, My KPA500 developed a PA DISS fault right the start of the VHF contest operating FT8 on 6m.
