After 5 years of perfect operation, now a very strange issue Bypass SWR 3 or 4:1 KAT500 tunes to 1.3:1 Switch amp to operate, operating SBB on first voice KAT500 goes full scale swr and amp faults on high swr Never had a issue before, antenna is g5rv Any ideas appreciated. My KPA500 works great on all bands except 6 meters Completely dead on 6 meters, does not sense frequency as it does on all other bands . any ideas before sending it in? I just read in the KPA500 manual not to exceed 100W in StandBy mode Woops.I sometimes run 150W to 200W digital when connecting to Winlink with KPA500 in StandBy I won't do it again will limit to 100W However, curious if anyone know why the limitation to 100 watts? I leave the KAT500 on 24/7, several years of perfect operation. Today I sent the usual 15 watts tune carrier on 75 meters the tuner started cycling all lights on and off. Turned the tune carrier off but the tuner continued to cycle. Tuner will only turn off by removing power. Plug power back in it starts cycling. Sounds like a trip to Elecraft but thought I would ask here to see if there is anything I can do. [Elecraft] K3 - Phone Patch connection
Sending again, never saw it show up on the list - I have a Yaesu SP-5 speaker with a built-in LL-5 phone patch. The instructions show the cabling connected to a FT-1000 which has all the in and outs for this phone patch. It is not very clear to me how to connect to the K3. I am trying to tune a G5Rv on 4.7xx (MARS freq) best I can get with the KAT500 is 2.65 swr, which means cannot use the KPA500. Using the K3 barefoot with ATU it tunes to 1.0 swr Why is there such a big difference in performance?
