Re: [Elecraft] K2 CW - relay clicks
Thanks, Don. It’s a K2/10, so I’ll do the relay touch-test. Dave K9SW > On Jul 24, 2021, at 8:40 PM, Don Wilhelm wrote: > > Dave, > > I am at a loss to tell you what is going on. [Elecraft] K2 CW - relay clicks
Recently bought a K2 and all was working well (silent QSK) until I moved from one spot on the bench to another. It was powered up and one of the leads fell off the power supply connector, so this was a live power interruption. After this, there are relay clicks when sending CW. I did a reset, but this did not change the relay clicks. Built the probe and did the CAL FIL routine and got it back on the air successfully. S/N 100, with ATU and SSB board. It would be nice to get back to silent QSK and preserve relay life. Any suggestions appreciated! Re: [Elecraft] K2/10 serial number 100
Thanks for the background, Don. This K2 has the SSB, noise blanker, and ATU boards added in, plus an owner installed an amplifier board and socket, so it might work with the kXPA100. I haven’t begun to check on how much its been upgraded but will start that soon. 73, Dave K9SW > On Jun 21, 2021, at 1:25 PM, Don Wilhelm wrote: > > Dave, > > Yes, that is one of the Field Test K2s - serial numbers from 1 to 100 - Wayne > has SN 1 and I think Eric has SN 2. [Elecraft] K2/10 serial number 100
I recently bought a K2/10 and realized that the serial number is 100, which is a low number. I recall reading that Eric and Wayne initially sent out 100 kits to beta testers so they could get their feedback on the building experience and the rig. Did those kits have serial numbers, and does the serial number 100 mean that this K2 could be one of the beta tester kits? Re: [Elecraft] K3 output power falls
Thanks for the pointer, Fred. With the book open to p.165, plus a couple of other menu adventures, I was able to get the K3 working like it should. Don’t know how the settings were scrambled - something of a mystery. Best regards - Dave K9SW > On Nov 10, 2016, at 9:10 AM, Cady, Fred <fc...@montana.edu> wrote: > > Hi Dave, > Check CONFIG:KPA3. [Elecraft] K3 output power falls
Maximum power output on my K3 dropped to 12 watts, for no discernible reason. Any handy hints about what might cause this? [Elecraft] Serial port is closed
Hello, Elecraft - Working on getting the K3 hooked up to a Dell Latitude laptop but can’t seem to make a connection using the K3 Utility. Using the serial to USB adapter cable. On the K3 Utility port page, no ports show up, and there is a notation at the bottom, “Serial port is closed”. Do you have any suggestions for how to proceed in making a connection?
