Re: [Elecraft] Trip to Canada
Hi Chas Bring your rig, operate signing "mobile ve3", and most of all, have fun. There are no regulatory issues, we have full reciprocity with W land. 73 Rick, ve3mm I realize this is off topic, but I need some information.I am going to drive to Ontario next week on business and I have my mobile rig in the car. I didn't intend to operate it, but can I bring it along and bring it back in? I hate to take it out; it's such a hassle :-) 73, Chas, W1CG ___ Elecraft mailing list Post to: Elecraft@mailman.qth.net You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Subscriber Info (Addr. Re: [Elecraft] SCS modems with a K2

Hi Tom I have successfully used my SCS PTC IIex modem with my K2 for Winlink remote email application. I interface it to the rig through the mic jack with the mod to bring receive audio to the mic jack through an unused pin. I am thinking of adding a din receptacle to the back of the rig to make the connection direct and leave the mic jack free. I run Pactor III with no trouble whatsoever and achieve great data throughput. The K2 (QRP) with the SCS modem is a dynamite combination for keeping in touch via Winlink while traveling by boat, rv or even at the picnic table up at the cottage. I can make connection with the host stations on 40 and 20 with a 22 foot wire thrown into a tree and a counterpoise. 73 Rick, ve3mm K2/100 #1591 KX1 #188 ___ Elecraft mailing list Post to: Elecraft@mailman.qth.net You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
