[Elecraft] K1 and buddistick
Hello all My family is going to stay at a house in corolla n.c. for a week. I have a K1 with atu and stand, but not the right antenna. Anyone have experience with the buddistick? I only use 20 and 40 meters. Great opinions. I have also been reading some stuff online about it. Re: [Elecraft] K1-Something interesting about the inventory
No, no, no... I wouldn't worry. Just make sure you do an inventory of the inventory...Honestly, I was so excited, I couldn't wait to start. I thought doing a thorough inventory of the part was enough... I just didn't lay out all the bags that had to be inventoried... I went straight to the bag from the box to inventory... I hope that makes sense. Another thing... Richard in elecraft parts is awesome. He sent everything first class usps and never did it take more than two days to vet fro California to Virginia Beach, Virginia... Bravo Elecraft. [Elecraft] K1-Something interesting about the inventory
Ok, I can finally get to the site to comment...I did my inventory on the K1 when it arrived, but missed the filter board. Elecraft promptly sent me a new one (yea) While waiting, I built part of the front panel but got to the point in the build (lcd backlight) where I need to hook up to the filter board, so I have to stop. When I get the filter board, I go to start and notice that I never received the filter bag. Now, I would have inventoried the filter bag, but I have no inventory for the filter bag in my manual in Appendix A. AArrrgghh, what am I missing...do they assemble the manuals when they gather all the supplies and just left out the filter bag inventory? Anyways, I hope to get the filter bag and inventory sheet soon this week. I feel like an idiot with all of this nonsense. [Elecraft] K1 LED backlight anode annotation
I am at the point of installing the backlight in a new kit. The manual says that the anode "A" will always be at the bottom of the backlight when the leads are to the left. My backlight shows "A" on top of "K". I did not see an errata sheet for the backlight. Am I reading something wrong, or do I need to change something? Re: [Elecraft] K1-where to start
In an effort to not offend anyone, I was just being passive about not receiving all of the kit. The funny part is that the boards are not actually inventoried like all the other parts. So, when I have my soldering iron set to go and I reach out for the board, I was quite surprised. All in a day...I am shocked there are not more people not getting all of the parts with as many as there are...but that just goes to show how professional and well-engineered these kits are. I really like the K1 and I love to build. I have a rockmite 20, winkey keyer, picokeyer, and numerous Christmas light controller kits under my belt. -- View this message in context: http://n2.nabble.com/K1-where-to-start-tp4900856p4902760.html Sent from the Elecraft mailing list archive at Nabble.com. __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
