Sorry subject of previous posting was not indicated what radio I was talking about ==========
Scanning through the K3 manual (Rev A2) I saw that the ALC voltage to be applied on pin 15 of the ACC connector needs to be in the 0 - +5V range. This worries me a bit because many (if not virtually all) linear amps output a NEGATIVE ALC voltage for feedback to the transceiver. I currently use my FT1kMP which needs 0 ~ -4V in combination with a SPE 1K-FA solid-state amp. It is fully interfaced including the ALC and that is working very well. The SPE outputs between 0 and -11V regulated by u-processor such that the right output is generated Is the +5V maybe a typo (i.e. should it be -5V) ?? -- Enno, PF5X -------------------------------------------------------------------- mail2web - Check your email from the web at http://link.mail2web.com/mail2web _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: Elecraft@mailman.qth.net You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
