[Elecraft] K3 Broadcast Band Performance
I tuned my new K3 to 640 KHz to listen to a local AM radio station. I was connected to my 40M inverted Vee. The station had too low signal strength to listen to. Just next to the K3 is an old tube radio with a 6-inch ferrite antenna that tunes the station just fine. I was expecting different results, what is wrong with my expectations? I have the KBPF3 General Coverage Receiver filter module. Mike, I tuned my new K3 to 640 KHz to listen to a local AM radio station. I was connected to my 40M inverted Vee. By any chance, is the KA3 still in cicuit and still tuned to 40M??
